[Feedback] Giga-Nerf Energy Shield in Patch 0.4.0
What ES really needs is a modifier to leech 25-50% of spell damage to energy shield. Not fair life builds get to leech health.

" Yea i play full ES Lich with low life. Until yesterday i had 8300 ES. After crafting near perfect boots for 10+ div i got to 9100. I could probably reach 12k if i specced into all ES nodes. Those players with 20k ES have near perfect gear and some are going unusual paths on the passive tree into the Armor/ES corner, meaning they sacrifice a lot of their power for that extra ES. My build is pretty tanky but it's not idiot proof. I still have to kite some stuff in juiced T15-16 maps. Like those Abyss monsters with the green beams if they catch you from different angles the ES gets drained in an instant. The boss in Mineshaft one shotted me with something yesterday in a 6 mod delirious T15 map. So i don't get where people get the idea from that ES should be capped at 6k or ES recharge delay should take 6 seconds. That would completely destroy the Lich class from being viable for plebs without the god tier gear. |

Would be interesting to hear if there is anybody who says ES is fine, who doesn't rely in ES. If not, what is the reason these players do not play something else than ES?
To me it seems fairly obvious that balancing is needed. The only question is should the balancing be done by upping the two other defences or nerfing ES. |

" Why are there not life nodes that just mirror ES nodes so they are both equal in the end? Life is still extremely weak compared to ES and armor is still too weak as a defensive layer to something like CI + MOM. Stack life + armor vs es + mana. CI + MOM wins every time. Give life the same nodes as ES on the warrior side and make armor do more instead of this little hit big hit different scaling. After all these changes to armor its still in last place. |

ES is not the problem. life is just so bad compared to it that it makes ES look too good. even if you have 2-2.5k life you will die so much and getting more than that is hard because there is no life on the tree. life is just so bad in this game. buff life not nerf ES

" People are complaining that Liches, which are literally in the ES corner of the passive tree, have the highest ES in the game on a tier list. 5 pages in and i still don't get what the actual problem is. ES is in a good spot but Lich is neither the fastest nor the smoothest class to play. So these screams for nerving the class into oblivion make zero sense to me. |

Also, let's not forget that they completely obliterated Grim Feast, so ES already got a "giga nerf" and OP can shove this suggestion.

" exactly. back when grim feast was a thing the game was actually fun. but people cried about it and so many other things and then GGG nerfed everything to the ground in dawn of the hunt. this game doesnt need any more nerfs. |

CI trivializes so much. High ES pool isn't that problematic: it's good versus slow attacks, but definitively a problem in gangbang or DoT (ignite) mechanics. I feel like I'm playing different with ES than armour or evasion, that's cool.
