There are plenty of builds who could use this at low levels and high levels, you give up defense/bonuses at high levels but not many people can afford to drop 10 EX on a real 6L gear.

Its amazing for my (summoner) build as well. being able to switch out support gems on the fly depending on which spectres i want is amazing. I have more than enough defensive stats on my other gear as well (resists maxed outside of armor, only have 170 ES on my current 5L one at lvl 83).

Very cool idea

*edit*

I agree of course its not endgame gear, but it can be used in the end game (by some builds, mostly summoner or ranged) until you get your end game gear. You can't exactly plan around a 800 ES 6L gear or kaoms right from the start.

Theres a lot of supports that provide good bonuses with little/no mana cost too. IIR/IIQ, mana leech, crit chance/dmg, culling strike, iron will. Theres plenty others of course.

Honestly, I think the usability of Tabula Rasa will be indirectly proportionate to its price, because the only reason you'd use it is said price point.

Ok let´s review

Tabula Rasa is pretty awesome, maybe not for endgame but it´s great for testing purpose and flexibility
The staff looks like crap to me because it has a low level req and low base damage because of that. I´m not really sure though. If you can stack str and dex high enough maybe it´s a nice leveling item.
The boots are very nice for a frenzy build. Extra movement and dodge on top of the original bonuses of a frenzy charge is great.
The armor, also not sure, it´s a nice merveil armor at least, got pretty good es and ar for leveling, chill duration is maybe nice for freezing pulse and other ice skills. Just average I guess.
I hope that tabula rasa does not interfere with any new support gems.

Raise spectre + minion life + minion damage + Gmp + iron will + fire penetration.

Maybe even sub minion life for life leech or life on hit and destroy everything. of course combined with a midnight bargain and bones of ullr. I think that would give you four spectre's that spammed 5 augmented fireballs lol.

That combination of course is still possible without this unique but have fun getting blue blue blue green red red

Your minions would probably deal enough damage and allow you to be tanky also. combine it with 2 ice spear totems just for the chill effect...

Let's be serious guys, as amazing as it is, the robe isn't a good item for anything other than testing, placeholding for a better piece, and, to a lesser extent, leveling.

It's simple: In the endgame, there is absolutely no scenario in which this robe will be the optimal choice. For a specific build, you'll be always be able to find a 6link with the appropriate colours and, of course, stats.

What makes Tabula Rasa nice (apart from the flavour) is the flexibility. It's cheap, has no level requirements, and can help with leveling up builds that require several support gems, as well as test new ideas, and be a placeholder until you achieve your desired 6link armour.

good luck getting 5 red sockets on evasion armour. That's just an example. and even if you do get that you have no flexibility for any other gems since there's no way you will rechrome that again.

As i've said before, this is much more than just a 6L..

This is end-game viable and for certain builds there's nothing better in a week race than this.

I agree, it's the perfect armor for crazy support combinations.
Now just for testing,
but somehow i think som1 will use it when OP combos will be on the loose.
Tabula Rasa is insanely good item, the exception is of course if you already have a perfect 6-link ( a lot of people can't even get a perfect 6 link after 1000 chromes).

I beg to differ. This robe will lead to some hilariously overpowered early game spectres, or minions in general

I think what he meant are the mana-costs.

reduced mana, blood magic. Plenty of ways to solve that one
