No, it can drop as early as Hillock :P
EA IGN: We_Have_Monk_at_Home

*Burnt out and waiting for either PoE1 League or new PoE2 Classes.*
doesn'tt have to be I-level 50+ because the mods on the item change it to have 6 linked sockets, instead of the item level defining the amount.

You could find that robe as early as simple robes would drop...

Dat robe.
Man I would still use it at lvl 78.
Errorcode:

I first did this one when trying to play with various socket features similar to that of Kaom's Heart. Six connected white sockets is of course the opposite end of not having any at all.

From a design perspective this item is one of few that works perfectly from a top town design perspective (starting with a core idea that can be as vague as a word or principle.), and from a "pick a cool unique feature (6 white linked sockets) and make a unique from it. You can even say that it works perfectly well from a utility/meta game situation as well, where you design a unique for a specific game play situation that was hard to do before (testing a lot of combinations of skills supports).

Add to this the fact that the Tabula Rasa names already has a strong historical flavour and fits perfectly with the somewhat roman/latin theme of PoE and you get a perfect lucky storm of a unique! :)

Well, the robe really isnt for anything else but testing out what gems are most efficient. I dont really see how this robe is supposed to be useful in any way

- cant support 6L on low levels
- cant use it in endgame since stats are missing

Guess its decent for leveling up, but even that is questionable since as soon as you hit Cruel you will want the defensive stats. Meh, another leveling item it is, not really what I personally was looking forward to since we kinda lack late game uniques. The majority of the items are useful in the early and mid game (40-50), but barely any are used by high level characters.

I disagree. My current

could be replaced by this. I can easily make up the difference of 86 life and 1k armor loss on other gear if I wanted 800 more dps. Its obviously not best in slot tier but its good for cheaper players who can't afford the 20 exalted price of a 6L astral but still want to see their character at full dps capabilities

Anyways, I think this is a really cool and fun unique.

Thank you! :)

Now I really can't wait for the unique look to come in, then I can make my templar look like a creepy pervert who ran away from an old folks home.
