There's a relentless push from some people to destroy this game.

You keep spewing forth this nonsense that I want to destroy this game. On the contrary, I want PoE2 to be one of the greatest arpg's of our time. Your relentless attacks tell me you have no valid counter-argument. ES is broken, and you know I'm right.

I'll ask you again:Do you have any actual suggestions to balance it or the other underpowered defensive layers,or is this just because you hate fun?

Cause as far as everyone can see your just trying to argue the death of ES because you don't like it yet are simultaneously refusing to argue in favor of buffing anything else to compensate.

Nice try bro but these players got everything they wanted in 0.1.0 patch . For players after 0.2.0 isn't the same conditions. One image doesn't represent the majority of players.

Nothing has changed from patch 0.1. Psuedo Glass cannon is still the best way to play the game for the majority of builds using mostly obtainable gear. Mainly due to Headhunter providing enough buffs to compensate for the low defences.

ES at the moment is just being used for surviving the majority of one shots (outside of bosses).

let's say they nerf ES.. players will stack life instead. So basically everyone is running 3k-4k life instead of 3k - 4k ES. And keeping similar setup. It's just limiting build options.

If they add more ways to get life on the passive tree. You will see more variety in players setups.

As for people stacking 10k/15k/20k es. These are outliers. They're either using some build shenanigans that work around the high defence. Or have 4 mirrors worth of gear.
If you're looking for a challenge, go play hardcore mode. And make sure you never use an energy shield in that mode—that should give you all the challenge you need. Stop acting like you know everything and showing off with all kinds of unnecessary suggestions. Players have different skill levels in every game. Only relatively easier challenges can ensure a solid player base and a good experience. Without players, you can't even complete trades. The 0.2 incident was a tragedy caused by arrogance, and the officials lost terribly. Do you want to taste that kind of failure again?
I kind of understand people not wanting to get nerfed, but it is true that ES is way too strong while being reliable.

In general I thought ES builds were supposed to be high damage low survivability, or relying on minions taking the aggro or blinking around to survive.

Druid and Templar will be unkillable once they release. Monk already is. It is better to adress the problem now.

Id suggest:
1. Buff spell damage, at least the spells that aren't being used
2. Nerf ES

Part of Hardcore mode is dying eventually.

Exactly. Nerf ES so all defenses will be equal trash.

</humor mode on>

Oh, since we're on the subject, armor is overrated.

It needs to be nerfed too. The worst part is when players understand their skill trees; we nerf the players, problem solved! And above all, don't argue, I'm right.

Because fighting naked, armed with a toothpick, that's the real gameplay.

And if you're not happy with this amazing gaming experience... you'll get nerfed!

lol, all my support

Thats what balancing is about - all defences should be equally good or bad.
You make some really good points.

Yes, that is called balance.

No, that's called stupidity. Balance is about bringing all defenses to make them feel good.
