The mechanic itself isn't terrible, but the coding of it with all the extra lag it causes is, so GGG either needs to figure out how to eliminate the portal syndicate ambush lag or remove betrayal. If (as Chris stated in a Baeclast podcast) GGG is capping core game league mechanics at 10 then Betrayal should be the 1st one to be retired permanently.

Changed some PC Parts, keep my old Windows-Intsall, pushed the Graphic details but still no probs. Thanks RNG.

Their handling of the problem with Betrayal is abyssmal. If you can't fix the feature just remove that feature.

Here's an idea though make it into a prohecy: "You will encouter massive lag spikes and intense hard disk activity while earing terribly distorted voices"... Seal that crap!

Well the problem is that they were trying to avoid that by putting the lag spikes in the middle of the map instead of entering.

Game runs pretty smooth for me in general. Betrayal lags a bit when I first start a map, but it's not for more than a few seconds.

But let's just say that Hardcore to me is not an option in this game. They'd need a more stable game for that.

This literally did make me laugh. Good to see the humor in stuff rather than being all sturm und drangt. Even though GGG is very unfunny as well as being one of the worst companies for customer service existing today.

So a clean install after deleting every trace of PoE from my laptop seriously minimized my syndicate intervention lag to like a half second at the very start of a 3 member intervention. This points minimally to a file issue as when I tested I didn't even have my lootfilter installed yet. A bit about my laptop specs. Windows 10 with a 1 terabyte hdd, a 1050 ti graphics card and an i5 quad core cpu setup. Using standalone client. Also should mention I wasn't hardlined when I did the test and had baeclast playing in the background on YouTube.
