The Syndicate Lag Tax

I am sick of paying it, this needs to be fixed, remove the death penalty if you can't fix it..

I am new to this game but wont last much longer if this issue can't be resolved.

LOL. At least you enlightened my morning for a few minutes.

Unfortunately GGG has never been able to crack the server/client netcode communication recipe to provide us a smooth playing PoE. Their home grown game engine just can't be compared to any commercial game engine that cost millions of dollars to produce. So we all have to suffer with major lag at times and if your Internet link have more than a tiny amount of packet loss then ALL the time.

I wonder what the commercial game engine coders have done to eliminate/minimize the lag/stuttering/freezing that a less than perfect Internet link causes. All other online games I play that use a commercial game engine run great (none to barely any lag at all) yet GGG can't figure it out (many others have).

Yes, I have done programming in the past and I do get it that Netcode and Server/Client timing is uber hard but we've had Lockstep for quite a while now so GGG should have figured out how to handle some packet loss without it wrecking our FPS so much.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

You need to move to a place that has internet... it's really cool.

I live blocks from one of the most important nodes on the internet. The one that connects Asia to the US. We have kickin' connectivity. Should look at the map of the internet and move closer to one of the major nodes.

The engine is their property so it has been updated constantly since the game has relealsed.

If you really cared baout it you would have watched and assimilated this informatuion thatw as made publick by both founders of GGG in several interviews. [Removed by Support].

What a beautiful post. But it's great that you wrote it, because it shows one more thing. That if someone whiteknighting, then he can express any personal attacks on this forum. Well, sweet whiteknight life :)
You have been placed on probation for: ● Make hateful or needlessly negative comments ● Personally attack or cause harm to the reputation of others ● Antagonise others in an obnoxious manner ●

Your comment is unbelievable. You have to live right next to an Internet NAP or next to the PoE realm to get good quality of play from PoE. That's how incredibly shockingly bad PoE is for you to need to state this. Thanks for the confirmation on just how terrible the PoE Netcode is.

WOW! You should really seriously think about the meaning of what you just said.

Lighten. Up.
Can't ask that on these forums, Shags.

Everybody here expects the game to run absolutely flawlessly on maximum settings in a double-Beyonded Breach w/Syndicate intervention running a poison minion build on an Arduino loaded with a bootleg copy of Windows 98 over the splice they pirated from their neighbor's Internet line.

Never mind that nobody else sees these constant crippling lag problems folks like this mention, or that maybe - just maybe - there's something in the local area or their pipeline that's causing an issue instead of it being Grinding Gear's fault. Nah. The Internet isn't complicated at all - you order bits from the magic net pixies that live in your computer, and those magic net pixies hand-craft your web pages/games for you.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear you're having this trouble, but I can assure you we are aware of the issue (it's currently a High Priority Known Issue) and are working on getting this resolved as quickly as possible.

My apologies for any inconvenience caused!

The only real fix is deleting it. It sucks. It was a failure, time to prove GGG is the best by taking the courageous step to get rid of it.
ggg optimises game but its never enough.. todays pc cant run poe without hickupps. Their best optimisation is waiting.. :D

They wait until you buy new pc.. and thats ofc is a slow process..
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.
