1: Faster attack all the way I stand there and rape or give me your strategy
2. Whatever, phys attack, puncture hide, evade, pick up loot later.
and no, i did the map 100 times, flas helps for 2.5 seconds, you pop it, you have to move anyway,, then you have to shoot...
1. Getting in, reaching first step.
2. popping v. skeletons
3. starting to shoot with SA in where that blue adds usualy are
4. shit hits the fan
5. she cast that fire rain with annoying accuracy I shoot SA in direction which I belive she is, we barely see each other
6. 30s later or less one of us is dead.
It's one of that bosses where you can spoil SA's offscreen feature. Cheap, but works pretty well.
Also once per 5 times roughly she get's attracted by skeletons for long enough so I can easily frenzy her to death, this is matter of 3-4 seconds then
Hello,
Sorry if I missed something but 375 pages :P
Why not using Life gain on hit with Tornado Shop ?
it seems nice on paper with GMP ?
Thanks a lot for the advices ;)
Because most of the time you won't have trouble leeching back your life through general leech mechanics. For leveling however, LGOH can be a perfect gem in this setup.
If you want more life leech at end game you're better off taking Vaal Pact, and using the life leech gem instead of LGOH due to the high amount of damage you're dealing.
e.g. I'm using Vaal Pact+Life leech gem in my setup. I only have to shoot a pack of monsters once to get all my 4.7k life back. With LGOH that wouldn't be possible, because you only gain like 58 life/hit. Meaning I'd have to hit a around 80 times with that 1 shot to instantly get back all my life.
Can I get some help on my gem setup? I am not efficiently utilizing my boots and helmet. Any insight would be great. I dont have vaal haste but i do have regular haste. whats the main difference?
I think another large part (in addition to PtL) which is causing mana issues is people using the Faster Attacks gem. In my opinion you should only be using that gem if you're already oneshotting everything, and/or if you have no mana issues.
Why?
Because FA doesn't do anything for single hit damage, but it does make every hit cost more mana. Sure, your DPS goes up, but that's only because you're shooting more times/sec. I'd rather socket a gem like Added Fire damage, and oneshot everything, than use FA, and having to shoot twice and thus use 2x the amount of mana.
Besides, who need FA when you've got 7 Frenzy charges?
Of course it all comes down to personal opinion of how you like to play. But I just think that a lot of players looking at such a guide think that FA is a must have gem in your TS/SA setup, which I don't think it is. If you don't have the mana your attack speed is useless.
Hope you guys get my point. Not saying FA is bad, because it most definately is not, it's just not suitable for everyone. You have to meet certain requirements for it to be usefull to you, and untill you meet them, you're better off socketing another damage gem.
Before 2.0 patch, your point was completely right.
But it isnt after leech mechanics changes.
Now, leech can STACK from multiple hits. Normal leech rate per hit is 2% per second, and cap is 20% per second. So, the faster you attack, the faster you get leech capped, so Faster Attacks gem isnt as bad as you think. You just shuld ensure your physical mana leech is high enough, as well as your mana pool.
Now, about mana issues.
Here how i sustain my mana:
0.37% mana leech on gloves (crafted), +46 maximum mana (amulet) and +2 mana per hit (jewel)
I use physical setup in my 5-link.
I can CONFIRM, that with 1.2 APS bow i dont have any mana problems at all. Even in 40% regen maps, with help of Rallying Cry, i still dont experience troubles.
And yes, i use Faster Attacks gem.
Mana leech alone is good, but never underestimate "+2 mana per hit" jewels (they're AMAZING), and dont underestimate flat mana roll on gear - it makes you leech mana faster!

Life gain on hit is good, but i agree, leech with Vaal Pact is much better. However, with Vaal PAct you cant regenerate life, and using Blood Rage is very risky too (i'd never used it with Vaal Pact). So, you must stack lots of life leech from your gear (wasting gem slot for 2% leech is BAD idea) and/or passives.
And Vaal PAct still doesnt guaranteed your survival, especially when kiting.

While you leech analysis is correct, my point about FA still stands.
One single attack can only leech a certain amount of mana. That amount depends on the damage that is done by the attack. Now, when using FA, the damage of that attack doesn't change, thus the mana leeched stays the same. But the mana cost of that attack goes up by 15%.
Results with FA:
Damage/hit stays the same - Leech stays the same - mana cost increases
If you can't oneshot the mobs, or have plenty of mana, this is not viable.
Attack speed is only usefull when you can actually fully utilize, and sustain the attack speed. Otherwise it's just fancy tooltip dps, which is of no use.
Results with another damage gem e.g. Added Fire Damage:
Damage/hit increases - Leech Stays the same - Mana cost increases
Bigger chance of oneshotting mobs, and saving mana on an extra shot
Results with another phys damage gem e.g. PPAD/Slower Proj:
Damage/hit increases - Leech increases - Mana cost increases
Most mana effective way of increasing your damage.
As far as leech cap goes, with FA you'll indeed be able to hit the cap more easily. But you don't want to hit the cap, because that means you'll no longer leech all the mana from your attacks. Thus running out of mana even faster.
Now like you said, you have no mana issues. In that case by all means use FA. It's still an awesome gem. Just don't use it if you have mana issues, which my original post was all about.
This whole discussion regarding Faster Attacks is utterly pointless as leech is a complete NON ISSUE versus packs. In fact, leech is actually stronger versus packs than it was prior to 2.0.
I have no idea why people keep bringing up leech when discussing AE skills. It's only relevant to single target.
Looking for some input on quivers. I've read the guide thoroughly, and while I was still playing my crit witch I rolled a pretty good quiver.
Would you still suggest giving the drillneck a try?

I would advise changing tabula firs, average 6L chests are fairly cheap:
- I paid 7.5 ex and 1 yolo ex for that flat eva.
Burn all the orbs!
