PoE turning p2w?

If it is a double post let me know i didnt find anything relevant. Someone has to address the fact that there now online sites selling raw currency and items ingame for real money. Some of them even advertise themselves at youtube videos.
I have around 250hours on this league and ive noticed many things. I wont even mention they inflation of the market due to temple that was either a huge mistake or you are preparing a huge turnover in the core essense of the game. What i want to focus on is that people now keep on endlessly farm raw currency only to sell online to other players. Since when this is something GGG supports and not bans? It pains me deeply to see my favourite game going down the drain all for the sake of making extra money...MAKE POE GREAT AGAIN PLEASE!!! Zuletzt angestoßen am 23.01.2026, 22:37:47

" I agree with you!!! I know companies need ot make money. But I feel that GGG has intentionally made POE 2 slower, more grindy, more tedious, for casual players, but let the streamers keep their loot form the Temple. This "vision" is meant only to "hook you" up into feeling like this game is aweesome so you can invest more money. But to be honest? Judging by how the VAAL temple was nerfed , yet the 2% of players kept all the loot, makes me think this hurt GGG on the long run, the trust of the players has gone down (at least that's a fact for me and two of my friends playing the game ..we just lost hope in GGG) And I started to believe that GGG is actually letting those 3rd party website sell in-game currency for real money, and they take a % of those sales as well... Or , maybe GGG actually owns all of the websites selling currency for real cash Either way, I believe GGG will suffer in the long run because they are stubbern and want to please only those 2-5% of Veteran players & streamers. I would have loved to buy supporter packages , but as the game is in this stage...I won't while this is happening even after 1 year of the release Zuletzt bearbeitet von ArdeleanuG#2185 um 22.01.2026, 14:05:15

You should see how many third-party pages offer currencies from PoE2—they are like ants! :D :D
I always repeat: trading in PoE2 is the coffin nail for this game. |

" Honestly? I like the trading feature, Im really happy with the fact that GGG has added the in-game trading shop/menu etc and we don't need to use the browser anymore. But I still have an issue with the RNG for drops and crafting. One league I had a good drop for my Monk in Act 1 which helped me get into Act 3, two leagues later I struggled with the drops, crafting and gamble. Sure, I bought from other players, but I love to craft my own items. If you add the low currency drop with the bad RNG rolls for mods , then the resutl will be people going on 3rd party websites to buy currency for real money Zuletzt bearbeitet von ArdeleanuG#2185 um 22.01.2026, 15:43:02

" You probably wouldn't like the most successful tactics GGG could employ. But they might happen anyway. 1. No access to trade until the end of the campaign (move Ange from Act 4 to Act 6). 2. Any player who moves more than 10 million gold in trade fees needs to register as a trader with their government ID, similar to proving you're over the age of 18. That ID goes into an anti-laundering database, permanently. #2 in particular might be required by the EU before the end of the year. HOWEVER, it isn't clear to me whether GGG would be affected by any of the likely EU regulations, because GGG only advertises items in their shop at the beginning and at the end of a league, when players are presumably the least psychologically vulnerable. It would be different if you were seeing popups like, "Whoops, you just bricked your item! You can buy the same item with a successful crafting result for only $19.99." Bottom line as I see it: GGG needs to retain legal counsel. (Almost certainly they already have.) High-volume traders may be more closely supervised by 2027. Or, maybe nothing will happen in PoE, but a lot will happen in games like WoW and Eve that allow players to buy gold tokens with real money. 0.4 SSF: Gemling Minions: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/DistributedAutomaton-5739/character/CrystalController

" You should search what company owns GGG, then search the most profitable and dominant game company in China. They will always have a plan to extract as much money as possible from the consumer. |

hello.
I was very disappointed with this league. I didn't have high expectations, but I never imagined that half a dozen exploiters would have such a big influence and destroy an entire league. I reached levels 94 and 93, but I felt like I was lying to myself, so I deleted both and went back to standard. My lesson was: never play a PoE 2 league before it's been released two months prior. |

I hope they stop releasing leagues and adding content; the game has tons of problems.

" You have that a bit backwards. Being owned by a Chinese company that is able to prioritize long-term growth is better for a studio than being owned by US private equity that insists the studio generate max value each quarter. If you are insinuating that Tencent is telling GGG to make money off RMT, all I have to say is, you're wrong. 0.4 SSF: Gemling Minions: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/DistributedAutomaton-5739/character/CrystalController
