How can this still work it has been nerfed into oblivion this league.

It used to be 1 life per 8 life spent in the last 8 seconds

I evdn paid 40 divines for that timeless jewel just to test if it's still viable after the nerf, i sold it back next day at 20 divs, lost lalf on it, it was trash.

How can it still be viable, in order to bypass 1 life per 16 life spent in the last 4 seconds you would need to cast 16 spells in a 4 second span just to get even.

That is crazy. What spell can you get below 0.25% cast time and contantly spam it?


Sacrifice of Blood is pretty bad this league, for sure. It's not a Blood Mage exclusive thing though. I've been trying it on my Ritualist for the whole league, and you have to get A LOT of extra life regen to even make this play style usable, and the damage is like 1/100th of what it was in 0.3.

You can tell that they really aren't trying to balance things properly at all, despite what they say, because they absolutely destroyed this and then they instantly allowed you to mana stack and basically do the same stuff in 0.4, just using mana instead of life this time. It's very obvious that balance is not their goal. They're just trying to create a new OP meta for the players that need to play the most broken OP thing every league.
Buff other classes instead no good?

Also to note 173 millions damage in ~2 seconds is shaman not bloodmage, just saying...

So it doesnt really matter the damage difference, you just want to kill bloodmage.
i'm happy with my tactician doing 30 millions damage per hit so i couldnt care less about bloodmages and shamans, there's no need to kill 1 class as long as other classes are performing good so buff other classes instead is a better solution, stop crying :D

No. GGG needs to draw a line in the sand. No build should go above a certain DPS threshold, otherwise we fall into the same trap as PoE1 did where you're in a forever arms race to 1shot the game lest it 1shots you.

Blood mage needs to be nerfed. And in doing so, GGG will have less incentive to buff mob HP and damage to make blood mage necessary rather than desired.

We need to think about the long-term consequences here.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley

Killing one class won't make other classes better, think about this.
The balance would be on buffing other classes too, lower the power ceiling (i could agree on this) but put all classes on the same floor (not every class on the trash floor by killing the op ones) so one can choose based on playstyle instead of damage, this would be the best thing they could do for this game.

Cast on Crit is stupid, not blood mage.

Blame GGG for repeating dumb design choices.

Posts like this show that so many people just copy/paste builds and don't understand what the underlying mechanics are.

We don't want other classes becoming better. That's the thing.

If we keep upscaling player power, GGG will respond by making monsters and bosses stronger to keep up. However, if we keep nerfing the top end, there's no need to buff monsters and make the game worse for the bottom end.

Its not just its damage that is the problem.

Its full picture. It has too much of everything and no real specialization or weakness.
