GGG entirely missed the mark on this nerf, all they did was pull up the ladder.
While there's less loot now, it's still overpowered. He literally says it will now take forever to build a temple like the one he has. Previously it took aproximate 30 hours; now he estimates it will take 200 hours. So a slap in the face for everyone who's just started or is in the process of doing so and had already invested many hours to do so. Why not just nerf the loot in Temple like they do? Then everything would have been fine! Please GGG, there is no shame in admitting a mistake and undoing it.

a better way would be to remove the medallion of locking completely from the game.

hope this comes out in the next hotfix.

And everything happening in the early access will be available in a separate "EA Standard" league when the game launches.

they are not being obnoxious, they are making changes to the game. thats what happens when you are developing a game, you add stuff and change stuff.

i think being obnoxious is intentionally signing up to beta test and in development game and then expecting the devs to not develop parts of the game because it will effect your character. imagine wanting core endgame mechanics in the game to be worse for the next decade because you dont want your meaningless character on a temporary test server to have less monopoly money for the next 3 weeks you were planning to play the league.

i actually care about this game being good on launch more than i care about anything in this league, and so should all of you.

hes whining about them fixing a broken stupid mechanic that shouldnt be in the game in a beta test environment specifically designed to test and fix the games core mechanics.

the ea lego server will be a ghost town museum locked away from the real game where you cant make new characters and all future league items and characters will never be able to be used there.

if they dont fix broken shit in the game we will all be impacted by them in every single league for the next decade. the game will release in a broken state and long term standard economy will be permanently broken by abusive mechanics that shouldnt exist.

you are beta testing a game. stop caring about meaningless plastic money. go test shit, make characters, you dont need gear you cant afford, try stuff out. stop trying to play a temp beta server like youre running TFT trying to become the jeff bezzos of wraeclast.

they are not being obnoxious, they are making changes to the game.

They are making obnoxious changes. They are """fixing""" broken things without cleaning up the outcome of said broken things. This discourages people(their testers) who paid for this game, to play it. Very simple concept. It's very easy not to glaze GGG constantly and critically analyze things.

No one gives a crap about standard. Come up with a decent argument.

They promote it as a full on league with mechanics that are included as league mechanics and not as beta testing anything.

This is the second league btw and just 0.1 and 0.2 were not promoted that way.

So yes we can expect working content, less bugs and fixes that dont screw over large portions of the players that continue to invest real money into this game. Nobody signed up for a survival of the fittest nolifer beta test that basically boils down to: play 24/7 and be fast on the "exploit" or "clever use of game mechanics" or however you want to call it.

If the mechanic isnt respecting the players time investment, which this one doesnt when you need to play hours in the three digit ballpark to reap the benefits, then it isnt just bad design, it is simply horrible design and a sign of no respect.

It does not help either to then tell those people to shut up or just farm something else even if you can get you Currency somewhere else (which you can, just not as fast). They still feel left out, disrespected and punished for no reason. Thats completly on GGG and nobody else.

And then Johnathon comes and posts his Apology Video saying sorry again they messed up. And everyone forgives and forgets, until they just do it again...
