As I've said, in return he gave up leveling and looting in maps. He chose to give that up to build his temple faster. What "ruined" the economy wasn't this, but an overtuned league mechanic that people needed time to figure out. Same as PoE 3.23 affliction league.
Regular players in return could afford almost all chase uniques as the mechanic once again gives almost everything, and a fuckton of it.

Only some top tier rares became more expensive, and uniques that are drop restricted, for example temporalis. Not like an average joe could ever afford a temporalis, so that doesn't affect 80-90% of the playerbase anyway.

But, high level characters joining low level characters is part of the game. That's why level scaling exists.

Well it's an exploit to get ahead. If it wasn't an exploit, you would have been able to farm lvl63 Holten with your lvl90 character solo. But you never could do that. Had to join a party to do it where the owner of the party had to keep themselves low level, and just create new instances for the high level players. So it's clear that GGG just missed this possibility and players exploited it while they could.

But... isn't that kind of like you cannot have a 50% area rarity if you solo, but you can if you play in a party?

Doesn't seem quite the same. One is a loot buff when players party up which is needed or nobody will ever want to party up. The other is bypassing level scaling restrictions with one player intentionally not leveling up and just opening instances for others.

this is an in development game.

it doesnt matter about your temple, or fubs temple, or who this change hurt or how fked up the economy is.

this is a core game mechanic, it needs to be good, balanced, it needs to function. not now, not for you whoever you are right now reading this. your temple doesnt matter, your character doesnt matter, your league experience, none of that matters. this is an in development game on a server that is getting archived when the game launches. the temple needs to be good and function properly for the 10 years worth of leagues that happen after the 1.0 launch of poe2.

people need to start realising they are playing an in development game. your temple/character/economic position got fucked? get over it m8s. we are testing a game, testing mechanics, they should be making massive changes that absolutely fuck up anything and everything we are doing in order to make the changes needed to end up with a game launching in 1.0 that is how it should be. make the changes now, mess eveyrthing up, dont need to make changes when the game goes 1.0 live and the items and currency are going to exist forever on standard.


we are beta testing, all your characters are going to an archived server when this game launches. its all for nothing, everything you are doing now is meaningless beyond testing the systems of this game and getting it to a point where it launches in a great state.

ggg shouldnt care at all about your temple youre playing right now and neither should you honestly. fubgun is being a short sighted reactionary whiner who needs to grow up and remember hes beta testing an in development game.

It's hilarious seeing him complain after he abused the Holten exploit and ruined the economy just to get his 'Legacy Temple'. He is already safe and rich.

The only reason he is making this statement now is because he knows the league is dead. Normal players can't catch up, so they will quit. And he is simply terrified of the inevitable loss of viewership

If he actually cared about the game, he wouldn't have used the exploit. He would have warned his viewers to protect the economy instead. But clearly, he doesn't.

Don't forget, this is the same guy who said: 'If I have a chance to abuse, I will do it again.' Zero integrity.

These simps need to realize he doesn't give a shit about you or your economy. All he cares about is the viewership and the money it brings him.

He's over in his channel, gloating about 150d/hr in his legacy temple. All for views.

The fact GGG never banned him, or reset his temple, is hilarious after this nerf to the common players. I'm laughing at you all.

What is the purpose of posting about this on a forum about a specific video game and reaction to its changes? Do you think this is particularly profound or useful for anyone?

They needed a full temple wipe alongside this measure, alongside making it easier to build your temple as well as destroy rooms + giving us the option for a full temple wipe at any moment at the cost of 6 crystals.

This was just a half measure, like plugging a hole in a boat with your socks. It doesn't solve anything.
