I'm playing a witch hunter now on HCSSF, sitting at 2k life, ~6k armour and ~4k evasion (yeah i'm stupid enough to be a hybrid), which gives me 3000 sorcery ward in ho and around 3400 during active play. Just 50% armour to ele and no deflect yet.
Barring (crazy) degens, i still feel tanker than i was on a shield warrior with 3k+ hp and 20k armour, even though i can't even leech, regen, or recharge the ward and it takes over 6 seconds to reset. Just a little bit of extra barrier make a day and night difference in survivability. Which is why armour/evasion will never feel nearly as good as ES until we get them life nodes. |

it's not Armour, it's the Life mod on gears. They compete the mod slot while EV+ES do not. I will not play Armour/pure EV until they fucking fix this.

" Idk, I'd rather those were limited since otherwise they just become mandatory must-takes. That's already a bit of an issue with ES builds. Half of the ES taken by witches/sorcs/ES monks/rangers are the same for all those builds. There's at the moment four +% maximum life nodes, three of which are realistically reachable for bottom left builds. Then there's a decent handful of +x strength nodes, which often have good other stats too. It's very feasible to reach +300 str by level 70 and end game builds may reach 500 and more. |
