GGG which lane are you on: Mindless Blasting or "Visceral" combat

Imo they completely missed the mark on combat.

Its just unfun.

The only fun i had in PoE2 are the act bosses and some side bosses that posed a challenge in 0.1. If i wanted mindless blasting i can logon to POE1 anytime. This was supposed to be a revolutiuonary game.



Also the class fantasy is non existant in POE , they still reduce classes to some gems we insert somewhere. Hard to get attached to your character without class fantasy

Also NO Character configuratior in 2025 ?

Agreed. I think GGG should make monsters and bosses more difficult like they were in 0.1.0.

The world back then felt scary.

If they could somehow capture how act 1 and 2 played on a fresh character and make the entire game like that it would be great.

Question I have for you is this... How much of it being easier are the changes and how much is because you already know what to do and have experienced is numerous times already....

A lot of people forget the second part of it to be honest. Always chasing that first high so to speak. But to be fair also, starting skills/builds/weapon types need wayyyyy more balance in the early game as well as late because I know leveling builds are a thing but wish they werent needed. Just my opinion.
GGG wants to have it's cake and eat it too in this regard,but the problem is that you can't have "slow methodical combat with combo's" if by act 2 there's enough speedy monsters fast enough to murder you in seconds.

At some point they will need to choose as eventually they're gonna hit a wall with how slow the game is next to how crackhead-speedy normal white mobs get.
we need to be nerfed by a nuke - game is extremely to fast and un-fun in end-game. Entire methodical combat in end-=game dissapears and there's place only for one button builds at all.

If that video you linked is meant to be relevant to the conversation, I'd like some of whatever you're smoking. Also who cares about David Brevik? People also tried to zoom zoom in D2, and still do to this day. Speed is and always will be king when grinding is a goal

While I don't mind mindlessly mapping, I hope they stick to the meaningful and engaging combat at least for boss fights.
Yea poe 2 is becoming more similar to poe 1 patch after patch, it's horrible. It's so sad.

I really hope they're gonna bring out a big balance patch at some point, scaling back the speed and dmg.

Lower the dmg of enemies and lower your damage by a lot, thanks.

We've hit the point of no return, they are now designing this game for D4 streamers.
