so much of the "make game harder" feedback is coming from people who never liked poe and probably enjoy souls games which is fine but they should just stick to that then instead of trying to ruin the game for the rest of us. game is in a very good spot right now. nothing needs to be nerfed or made harder IMO.
no, a lot of this feedback is coming for people that enjoyed poe1 and left because it turned full zoom-zoom. devs made bunch of claims suggesting this would be improved and different about poe2 and now we are here...
also i can make very similar statement about who is wrecking whos game right now
maybe originally that was the devs intention but after reading the feedback since last December they changed their minds? have you read some of the feedback here? it was mostly negative. people didnt like the game. if the customer is not happy the devs often shift direction. because you know. its always a good business decision to please the customer.
just for the record i dont think poe2 is anything like poe. i still find it very slow and campaign bosses are still difficult. for example even on twink gear it took me multiple tries to kill the act 2 boss. in poe i can kill them all with white gear first try..

At this point I feel like I'm being misled by the marketing and the developers are intentionally lying in interviews about what the game is meant to be just to attract a difference audience to get more money.
There's no way this isn't meant to be a zoom zoom mobile slop slot machine d4-like when they keep nerfing monsters, buffing players, and shaving "builds of the week" showing off 1 button builds zooming through the game and killing bosses in 2 seconds flat.
maybe this game is just not for you? i see you havent done any end game content in poe like level past 90 or defeat the shaper which was released back in 2018 i think. there is nothing wrong with not liking path of exile games. maybe try a different game?
i suspect most of the others who complain about the current game being too easy and want to make it harder are in the same boat as you. never really liked poe or beat the end game, and now not liking poe2 either and trying to ruin it for the rest of us by suggesting the devs turn it into some souls like game
I've completed, so to speak, the entire endgame, in various modes.
And I agree with the author that PoE 2 could have been slower, with fewer creatures and more engaging combat. I don't see the need for PoE 2 to be based on the same zoom as PoE 1.
Who needs a part 2 that's the same as part 1 maybe they should try a new way [/quote]
fair enough. but poe2 will always have a lot of similarities with poe. people just need to accept that or move on. so much of the "make game harder" feedback is coming from people who never liked poe and probably enjoy souls games which is fine but they should just stick to that then instead of trying to ruin the game for the rest of us. game is in a very good spot right now. nothing needs to be nerfed or made harder IMO.

I understand your point.
However, it's hard to accept certain things when a company—I'm referring to Jonathan and Mark—pushes marketing nonsense about how the gameplay is better and more engaging now that we've fixed this and that. It's pissing me off more and more.
See, you liked POE 1, so you also liked POE 2 from patch 0.3, because in this patch they came very close to what we already have in POE 1.

yeah i guess feedback is still negative, just the other way around now. i also like how the feedback and 'pleasing the customer' is now important, but a moment ago it was 'wrecking the game for the rest of us'

its not the same though. back when EA first launched 80% of the feedback was negative. so it made sense for the devs to shift direction a little. now most people are at least somewhat happy with the game. "game too easy" is just a small vocal minority of people.
most of the crowd here are loyal poe fans. like it or not they are the main target audience/customer and GGG needs to please them not the souls game tourists

80% was NOT negative. 80% of the vocal minority was negative.
The people who want to play a glorified slot machine are an extreme niche, they are just loud.

I am reading so many posts twisting what the feedback was on launch it is actually infuriating.
Most of the feedback on launch was that the devs promised slower engaging combat and delivered that throughout the campaign but did not deliver this on endgame content. The end game devolved into 1 click destroy everything screens away before it destroyed you combat, mostly because it really was the only way to progress due to the huge disconnect in the way monsters acted vs what was offered for a large portion of the skills.
I do not know when or where this has been twisted to say that the devs decided to change track because of feedback because that was absolute rubbish, none of the feedback I had seen was players wanting to be able to blow up screens with 1 click builds, it was the complete oposite.
Also anyone who came to PoE 2 and actually expected this needs to get a reality check. It was said from the beginning that this was NOT how the game was meant to be played. It was going to be slower more impactful combat that required you to pay attention to what you were doing.
I really hope that GGG is working in the background to solve the main issues and that they do achieve what they originally set out to do and do not give into the few people who want PoE 2 to become PoE 1 V2.
Remember the game was excessively successfull at the start due to the campaign being wildly accepted. I think a lot of those newer players left once they hit maps because it devolved into PoE 1 type gameplay. This tells us a story about what part of the game a lot of people actually enjoyed.

I had this cope going into 0.3, and nope, all they did was make the game 10x easier.
0.4 will be even easier.
We have reached the point of no return, they have gone full POE1 zoomer mode and their vision has been abandoned.
Enjoy the worlds first D4-like.

No, you can make the game kill you very easily in POE1.
It just doesn't have combat.

i asked because i see that you havent done any end game content in it. you have very strong opinions on a game you didnt even engage with beyond the campaign and low maps
is this why you want the campaign to be harder? because you just play the campaign in both path of exile games and have no interest in end game?
