POE2 isn't for you.

It's fascinating how much effort some people put in to spread negativity, like Dementors.

The ones spreading ''negativity'' are the ones making the game better. You guys that only know making reverence to GGG for their ''vision'', no matter how bad it is, are the ones stopping the progress of the game.
If it wasn't for the ''negativity'' posts, we'd still be with 0.1 loot plus 1 tablet per tower.

Let the people present their complaints so you can have a better game.

People who give constructive criticism and reasonable suggestions help improve the game.
People who flood the forum with tantrums because they are irrationally angry they lost in a video game or because it's not PoE1 enough or because they simply resent its existence or because they keep trying to manifest its death aren't.
And this forum is full of the latter.

GGG is aware of most of the things that the game needs to be better, they just don't fix it because they are (1) making their team work on PoE1 and 2 at the same time, despite them saying it wasn't going to affect the game, and (2) because if they update the game ''slowly'' they will keep players ''interested'' in what's new or what's coming.
This EA is a bad EA experience. You are supposed to get constant updates in an EA product because it is ''in the making'', yet Apple updates their iOS betas more often than GGG updates PoE2.

Overall, the bad idea is to treat this EA as a full game, mainly because it has all the disadvantages of an EA and none of a full relesed tittle. They've got time to add MTX, place ads into the game, and create 9GB updates that add nothing but new crashing instances. I am sure they've got time to improve what the community asks for and do it much more often. Do they want to? As we can see: No.

While you are correct, the devs said in an interview that they would never do nerfs during a league.

But hey, nowadays the updates are done ninja mode without any trace in the "patch notes" or "hot fixes".

All I'm doing is reinforcing your statement.

Yeah 5 months of 1 build 1 shotting the screen is so fun. (its not).
Their lack of ability to ignore the reddit and streamer mob will be the downfall of poe2, its impossible to balance the game outside live server testing.
EA or Full-Launch, Balance tuning should always be implemented as soon as an issue is identified. Willfully sitting out on fixing known problems (under/overperforming skills/items/classes) is a mistake.

I agree, 100%. Like spectres, a new feature of DOTH, basically being untouched since launch and still unplayable.

I'm just saying that for the people who expect transparency, POE 2 is not the game for them if they are hurt by GGG bad decision making.

When it comes to a nerf request, you better be sure they will over deliver. When it comes to make something that is underperforming viable, expect a slap on the face months later and be grateful you had the chance to have been chosen for it.
I'm going to be daring and actually answer OP's question :p
Yes and no.
Yes, i'm interested in it because i've always loved POE and i would very much like to play a worthy successor to POE 1, or just another great Wraeclast-based ARPG. Especially with the otherwise worse than sorry, current state of the gaming industry in general and their 'products'. Aditionally, we haven't seen the patch notes yet so i feel it's a little early to really cry wolf.

No, i'm not AS interested in it as i normally would've been since, as you pointed out yourself, i also don't expect most of the glaring problems in POE 2 to be adressed. At least not anytime soon. Endgame might evolve over time, just as it did in it's predecessor, but a lot of the gripes many people apparently have just seem too fundamental to change in the near future, or even at all. GGG's reactions to all those related feedback-tidbits seem to confirm that suspicion as well.

I kind of get where most of the remarks come from though.
Concerning player count for example, sure, it's near league-end, and the end of an exceptionally long one to boot.
But claiming this stands as the only reason for those low numbers is a bit silly, and somewhat conveniently disregards the plethora of non-stop criticism that already started pre-0.2. It's fairly obvious both things contributing in that regard.

Anyway, it's a forum people. Let the man speak his mind :)

Sadly we can't do the logical, intelligent thing because GGG curated a F2P mobile game player base that throws a tantrum if their build is nerfed by even 1%.
if there aren't significant changes to the following systems I won't be playing:

1. 1 shot mechanics from random mobs
2. the terrible map/tower system (we need to choose what we want to play, not be forced into playing maps that are bad)
3. boring skill tree (everyone has to spec into ES because its so overpowered compared to armor/evasion)
4. please don't make me play campaign again. going back and forth between areas/killing side stuff to get stats/etc is very boring. at the very least an option to skip campaign and bring forward all the side quest stuff (additional spirit/resist/whatever rewards) should be added so you don't have to do them again.

with that said, i am probably not playing, shame cause the characters themselves are pretty fun, just some mobs suck, the map/tower experience is dreadful and re-doing campaign is a massive drag.

on topic though: i'm not hyped in the slightest and all the DM interviews have leaned towards things that are just basic things to have in a game instead of chatting about things that matter to the community - why are we having an interview about music when nobody has complained about the music?

despite them saying it wasn't going to affect the game

A distorted statement that was pushed by negative people for the sake of hype. Chris Wilson in an interview at Exilecon, when asked about the release dates of the POE 1 and POE 2 leagues (whether they will conflict and interfere with each other), said
"
because "poe1" is a separate product from "poe2" we dont need to allow "poe2" ongoing development to affect "poe1"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVaPTwfr1Zw&t=73s

A phrase said long before the release of EA PoE 2, which does not contain a sworn promise.
The phrase literally implies that the leagues will be released at intervals, so that the start does not fall within one week. Also that the game will maintain its direction (for everyone who thinks that poe 2 must turn into poe 1).

And the funniest thing is that the development of games still influences each other, but not in the sense that haters are used to forcing. Improvements to the engine and graphics in poe 2 will be useful in modernizing poe 1, where new model textures will be added, and later animations and WASD (after all the mtx armor sets are transferred, the skill animations will be redone, and not when another whiner on the forum farts that the game will die in a week if they do not add WASD now).
League mechanics ideas that did not work in one game will be tried in another. Games will develop thanks to each other. And this is not a fantasy, it is a fact.

If you can't see the entire process of work, then it doesn't exist, right? If you can't see how the content of your computers is created, then the computer is empty, right? If you give a month to complete a task and after 29 days it is not completed, then the task has not been started, right?

You say such funny and terribly absurd things when you are blinded by anger)
