Have no interest in starting over in new league
" So now everything I've said is tonal assertion because we disagree. You seem to have demonized me into some big bad bully that doesn't want you to play the game because I'm an elitist or something. If you have an alternative to the live service ARPGs we all know, or another solution to encourage new PoE players into the community, then clue us in. All I really want you to do, is to give leagues a go. They are a lot of fun, and it's pretty obvious you haven't even tried one. Find a guild on the forums, or some people on discord, smash out the campaign on a fresh start as Group Self Found. Join a stream, theory craft some league start ideas with everyone, chill in there and blast. It really is great fun man, it's a damn shame you think for some reason we are evil people that want you to not enjoy yourself. I really do just want this game to thrive and do well. Just like the devs want it to do well. They are not sh*tting in your breakfast for the sake of it, or using psychological manipulation. They are just trying to make the game successful and fun. It might sound harsh or assertive, but you have to understand that PoE has existed for over a decade doing exactly this model. New content does not go to standard until the league is over, for good reasons. Whether you wish to accept those reasons or not, they still exist. none of us does, dw
I don't even dislike poe 2, but it's so shallow compared to poe 1 that I can't see a single reason to play it when poe 1 exists "buff grenades"

" You care about the number of players in Standard compared to leagues. That, in fact, contradicts your claim that you don't care. " Kind of like entering a thread titled "Have no interest in starting over in new league" for the purposes of provocation instead of ignoring it? " My exact words that I emphasized were chosen intentionally were that I don't care if "some people" play standard. You are correct that I care about the ratio. I never said I didn't. But keep reading my words however you want I guess. |

"Some" denotes a ratio. You care about the ratio and thus care about the "some".

" Yes? Yes. I literally just said that. I have absolutely no idea what semantic game you're trying to play now. |

That means you do care if some people play Standard.

It's exceptionally obvious the intended meaning. Equally clear that you're, hopefully intentionally, really trying to jump through some linguistic reasoning hoops to try to develop some gotcha or catch 22. But I already agreed with you, so I continue to fall to see a point in any of your posts. :) Zuletzt bearbeitet von Lisa_GGG#0000 um 28.07.2025, 18:10:24

You're confusing semantics with dialectics.

I think it's bad policy to switch stances on this subject.
From .1 to .2 GGG allowed all new content on both standard and DOTH. This appeased those who complain about the economy and appeased those who don't want to start from scratch every 4 months. Now you have the new league players complaining that no one will play with them if new content is available on standard. The stated purpose of the new leagues is to get an economy reset. Why do we need a reset? Farming. That's why. Even if RMT were gone tomorrow, you would still have teams grouping up with their aura-bot/rarity mule for max loot. There are not many good resolutions to that problem. Forcing an economy reset does nothing to solve the problem. It simply applies another band-aid on a wound that doesn't stop bleeding. If you want a fresh economy, go to the new league. Stop punishing those who don't want to start from scratch every 4 months. I made 1 character of each class. The lowest level is 91 and the highest is 97. This allows me to experiment with different builds without having to level another one up every time I see an interesting build or class. Isn't more in the spirit of the game to be able to experience all of the aspects of the game? What I see here in these responses is some very vocal people complaining that no one would play new league if you can stay in standard. Well. That's not true. Did standard league rob DOTH league of all the players? No. If you return to the 4 month wipes and "remove only" tabs for standard, you will probably see a lot of players leave that just don't want to have to start over and level multiple characters every 4 months. Your current band-aid, punishes people that just want to enjoy your game in standard. Please re-consider not having new content on standard. Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings. 97 Blood Mage, 96 Gemling, 95 Deadeye, 93 Invoker, 92 Amazon, 92 Stormweaver, 91 Smith of Kitava
