Put "Mirrored" status on the base item you mirror
As in the title, Mirror of Kalandra would still be awesome orb, enabling you to get a copy of best item imaginable, not duping it for eternity. The way it works now is basically enabling scamming people and driving economy insane because big players can literally legally dupe items with virtually no leash on it, taking under consideration how much currency groups like TFT have. Then it enables them to amass even more currency, power and market for themselves, while normal players have the bar raised so high they will never get through it.
You could then even raise Mirror drop rate a little bit so it's a real chance you can drop it, right now Mirror item is pure imaginary item even for players playing 10 years. Zuletzt angestoßen am 12.02.2025, 12:52:24

+1
Mirror should put "Mirrored" on both items. The base and the newly created. |
|
I disagree, and I see why you think that but it would destroy the value of mirrors and high end items.
Not a good idea. |
|
It wouldn't destroy the value. We are all used to the status quo that is in play right now, from this point of view it would destroy the mirror. The new reality would be like that the mirror is still the best orb in the game allowing you to make a copy of an absolute blaster item. It would be definitely healthier mechanic for everyone.

" Yeah, it would. Because right now being in possession of an extremely high value item means that you are now the proprietary owner of the "base". If you obtain a mirror, you can create a "product" to sell from that base and obtain value. This adds an incentive beyond merely having a BiS weapon to actually grind out more amazing weapons. I, as an Infernalist Witch, have an incentive to obtain a BiS Quarterstaff. I could become the owner of it and make copies to sell to generate a profit. To do so, I would first have to farm mirrors (unlikely) or craft mirror value items (more likely). It encourages me to interact with all the games systems beyond the bare minimum for what my class requires to operate. If items could only be mirrored once, it means that the incentive to do so is vastly lowered, therefore the value is simply lowered. It's just how it is. There's no reason to be upset if a mirror is used on an item and that player can keep the item other than pure jealousy. Get better items and some mirrors and you will suddenly no longer feel as if they should be changed. Simple. |

My point is about the whole market distribution and amassing endless value out of one craft is literally duping, 0.1% of players can do it putting the rest of the players in a disadvantage, because they can literally buy out the market and price fix it for their needs. Your post literally highlighted the strong points of my idea. Some people would maybe hit the ground but those people ARE the problem. Item acquisition and progression would get more interesting too. Instead of just "farm a mirror and then the second one for absolutely asshole fee and your gear is celestial lvl, gg". Getting 1 awesome item and then having the opportunity to make a copy of it is realistically still an awesome and rewarding value for an orb.

A copy is enought.
If we go a little to the extreme, with infinite duplicates, we all end up playing the same items, this will make the game a complete joke. To be honest, it is unbelievable how they let this go. |
|
Hey, it is not as if anyone can hand over a few divs and get immensely powerful game-breaking items...
...unless they RMT. This is what infinite mirroring supports. |
|
That could be a thing they look upon to.... If Mirror were actually obtainable by the majority of people. As it is, there's not enough of them to actually be a problem even if they dupe other items with it.
|
|
if the did that they would receive death threats again from the RMT 'community', not worth it
