What is the point of the instant death waterbubbles in drowned city?
I played drowned city many times before and I knew that I should dodge those blue orbs or bubbles, but today I died 2-3 minutes after I enter drowned city and I did not see any blue orb or something to be honest, is that normal ? was it a bug or was I too distracted ?

How can HUGE and SLOW as all fucks bubbles be a problem?..
Explain it to me, please, cause I'm genuinely curious. There are so many weird, convoluted or straightforward buggy ways to die in this game, but you choose to complain about the one that is perfectly visible and easily avoidable. Not cool, dude. We should have this instead of checkpoints: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3677132

If i did not have previous experience from Eater of the World i would not have been suspecting in any way of "if my screen starts to melt/gets blurry i need to dodge or i will die".
Personaly, i do not remember an ability in Diablo 1,2,3,4, Nox, Sacred 1,2 Tourchlight 1,2 Dungeon Siege 1,2 Titanquest, Grimdawn that is like this in an Arpg. Where you might just wonder for 1-3 sec about "hu.. thats a very big slo" -Dead- Thats how i remember i died the first time to Eat of the worlds. I just tought it was a very nasty slow to combo with his nuke/hinder me collecting the things on the ground. So i defenetly see how players can feel they stepped on a timed landmine that stalls for time with missdirecting you attention with the nice visual effect. Does anyone know if you get a debuff on you that tells you "you are dead in X seconds" or maybe "You will drown in X seconds" ? Not that you would have time to mouse up, read, react in most cases anyway. Just curious. This "Waterbubbel" is honestly something i would expect more in very older adventure games like Dragons lair when growing up. Where i would just die right of the bat on every levelscreen due to "i did not know". Endgame bosses having attacks like this that will kill you right off the bat after X time i think is fine if its in some way telegraphed/visually showed in a way that makes you understand you need to focus on just this now or you will probably die now. I dont think this level of power in an ability belongs on a white mob. Alot of players will just react to the Waterbubbels like "It only slows, it does not dmg me, so i dont have to worry" dead. On softcore you die, you learn. But on HC you might not "learn" this until you are lvl 80-90+ and that feels a bit to ruff. I personaly feel if it was changed to heavy Tick dmg over 4-8 (Depending on if its a White, Blue , Yellow mob) seconds and eats up X % of you Mana,hp or energyshield /sec (depending on your build in what order you loose your protective layers) it would be better for newer players facing it. You would see your character loose shield, mana or hp very very fast and learn that this is a mob to respect what-ever type it is. But players dont have to pay with their life to learn this. And with the sound and visual ques being (for the most part) so nice in poe2 why not add a unique sound effect to them? Almost like Mervils singing / humming at a nice range away from them. Building more on the atmosphere of the game in general at the same time as suffering of new players goes down. I dont think the enemy / ability needs to be deleted, just tweaked a little. Thank you for your time readers. Cant have to much Junk in your Stash

I died the first time I encountered that too. I thought it would just slow me down, so I kept fighting inside it and boom dead, no big deal. It never happened again since I learned to avoid it, but I still think it shouldn't be a one-shot kill. Taking 90% of your health or something similar would be fine, but a simple mob it doesn't need to be that lethal.

Good old 3 seconds instant death that also has audio, that indicate you are in range of that orb.

Don’t stand in them

Do you want the game to be where you never die to anything?
Move out of the way, single them out, run around them, move on. There has to be something that kills you in the game |

Well you should learn about something before asking something false about them.
They take 3 seconds of standing in them to kill you. Not instant Mash the clean
