poe2filter.com - A PoE 2 custom loot filter generation website
" literally all tiered stuff do overwrite any custom set things, recently uncut gems were added. a long time ago i reported trial entry currency do the same, and yet they still do. formerly i could make a custom tier, drop all stuff i like to set up in custom tab myself. but its gone. |

This started happening in a recent update?
I'm starting to think that there might be a bug which just causes your custom cosmetic rules to be skipped entirely, so it *seems* like they get overwritten. Would you mind sending or linking me your .filter file where this happens, so I can have a look? Really sorry about this! Small Uniques, more color presets - v0.9.125 - 30/09/2025
- Added a new 'Small Salvaging Uniques' Highlight, which, if you are not highlighting or showing Other (low-value) uniques, highlights low-value Unique Jewellery as D-Tier, for salvaging. - The colors from the 'Cosmetic Presets' are now added to the color picker preset colors. Additionally, using any other color will add it to a 'recently used colors' list. You can turn this off on the Settings tab. - Hard-coded Scrolls of Wisdom to Visible tier, so that the Quick Filter toggle for it always does what it says. Because of its low value, Scrolls would otherwise always be pushed to Hidden tier (thanks Jayrayme). - You can now explicitly hide items through Custom and Custom Cosmetic Rules, under the Advanced Conditions. Note that you can also still hide Custom Rules by selecting the F-Tier (if that tier is hidden) (thanks Fabi). - The Tier Selector dropdown for Custom Rules now also shows the textual description of that tier, more clearly indicating that F-Tier is (by default) hidden. - Fixed a bug where custom Waystone styles were not applied (thanks Fabi). - Based on your selected class, only Jewels relevant to your class will be highlighted (only applied when changing presets). - The Late Endgame preset no longer hides Magic jewels, you'd need to do this explicitly (thanks Kellari). - Promoted 'Akoyan Spear' to Elite tier, demoted 'Stalking Spear', 'Flying Spear' and 'Grand Spear' to Expert (if you had moved them explicitly, your change will not be undone) (thanks Fabi). - When trying to sync a filter, when it is not found on your account, you are now asked if you want to (re-)create it (thanks mcswayer). - Economy update. ![]() Author of https://poe2filter.com and https://poe1filter.com - Path of Exile 1 & 2 Custom Filter Generators

Starting a fresh SSF character after the patch, and it seems that the Weapon and Armour Exceptions don't work. Early Campaign, Witch, and the default settings (Hides white gear + exceptions for Wands, Sceptres, Foci, and ES gear), but the filter doesn't have those exceptions (e.g., the Wand from the first corpse on the Beach is hidden). I don't remember it (not) working like this earlier.

Weapon and Armour Exceptions aren't working for me either unfortunately.

Oh my, I'm terribly sorry for this, there was indeed a bug. Hotfixed now. Thanks a lot for reporting this!
Hotfix: Gear Exceptions fixed - v0.9.126 - 31/09/2025 Important hotfix, please update your v0.9.125 filters With yesterday's release, 'regular' gear exceptions (so no Rare, Exceptional or high Item Level) were no longer displayed unless you had the 'Other Gear Exceptions' highlight enabled. This is now fixed. If you created or updated your filter after yesterday's 0.9.125 release, you should update or sync it again. We're terribly sorry for this inconvenience and will be more careful in the future. Author of https://poe2filter.com and https://poe1filter.com - Path of Exile 1 & 2 Custom Filter Generators

I see. The thing is that e.g. your 'regular' Inscribed Ultimatum and Djinn Barya Custom Cosmetic Rules have 'Partial' enabled. That means that indeed, those lines generated by the tool itself, will also apply, and override your cosmetics. To prevent this, disable 'Partial', and use Item Level in each of the rules.
For your Uncut Gem rules, it's another reason: try selecting the actual gem levels in the base types (second dropdown), and then also disable 'Partial' everywhere. I realize I didn't account for this in my migration script for PoE2 v0.3.0, that was my mistake! It's probably a bit late to still do it now. But you can fix it as I describe above, by selecting the actual basetypes of the desired level. Hope that helps, sorry for the confusion!
