poe2filter.com - A PoE 2 custom loot filter generation website
Well, the reason it's not *as* bad is that there are very few sources that drop items as *identified* in PoE2; only from strongboxes. And with the highlight rules, if it's a good item, it'd get highlighted too, unless it's magic.
Either way, you're right it's not ideal, I already have a fix ready, hesitating between releasing it as a hotfix, or along with the next version. Thanks for reporting and apologies for the scare! Hello,
Little problem for me, for example I setup ranger filter, preset Progressing maps, ranger, keystone 5, and no other changes. When I drop to the ground my bow (with some good T1) and my quiver... the filter don't show items O_x. Did you have any explanation ? Thanks for answer Zuletzt bearbeitet von SuperWaper#5684 um 15.09.2025, 03:36:11

Hey, thanks for reaching out! Are you working with the latest version, 0.9.122? You can see that in the right corner, all the way to the bottom of the app; or in the header of the .filter file. The previous version (121) would only show *unidentified* gear exceptions (I assume Quivers are still there).
But of course, if it's got good mods, the 'identified item highlights' should highlight it. But I see the issue: the 'Progressing Maps' preset doesn't yet enable these. I'll change the preset so they do already activate them, with 'Advanced' and up. Not a super big deal as you probably wouldn't be encountering a lot of strongboxes with identified items yet, but doesn't hurt much either (I disactivated it in this preset since it adds a lot of rules, so for size & performance reasons, better to leave it out if not necessary). Hello everyone, is it normal that when I change the sound to filter, MP3 format obviously, it tells me that there is an error on the format line? (I am on PS5)

Hotfix 0.9.122b: Identified Item Highlights are now also already enabled on the 'Progressing Maps' preset, for Gear of minimum tier Advanced.
Note that this only applies if you select the preset (again), which would override any Quick Filters you've changed afterwards. " I'm not sure, but I would assume that custom sounsd are not possible on console, since it reads the sound from the filter directory? Thank you for the changes to gear exceptions
While I'm at it, I’d like to share some feedback on a few things: - It'd be nice if we could highlight items with high ilvl, they're very good for crafting and are valuable on the market, we can probably make a custom rule just for that but i think that it'd be nice to be something that you could change on the main page of the filter Relying on the gear exception alone for this isn't ideal, and while you can craft some good items with item level 77~80, higher ilvl items like 81~84 can get higher tier mods which can be very strong and valuable like i said - On the "Jewelry Filters" section, it'd be nice if we could set the min and max ilvl we want for rings and belts, desecrating rings (and amulets too iirc) is more expensive above ilvl 64, a Preserved Collarbone costs 14 exalts while a Gnawed Collarbone (only works on ilvl 64 and below) costs only 2 ex - Still on the Jewelry Filters, it'd be nice if we're able to hide belts with only 1 charm slot if we want - On the cosmetic tab we have the option to make hidden gear transparent and smaller, which is a very nice feature but i think it needs the option of customization, maybe someone doesn't want the labels to be smaller, or they think the labels are too transparent, that would be a nice QoL - I think that the "Late-Campaign" and "Progressing maps" presets hides rare items by default right? I've seen some people saying that the filter hides too much and this may be one of the factors that make them think that, i personally struggled at first when i "upgraded" my preset because it was hiding all rare items which was not something that i wanted to do just yet, i wanted to pick some of them to disenchant or sell for gold It took me a good while to learn that this behavior was caused by the "hide gear by gear tier" which takes priority over the "hide gear by rarity", so after i unchecked the "hide by tier" the filter was working the way i was expecting at the time - Above Late-Campaign the "minimum quality exception" is 5% right? I think it should be 1%, i found armourer's scraps to be a very easy way to make some exalts until progressing maps/early endgame - Is it possible to customize beams? I'd love to have a feature like that personally, i know you can change colors but there are only a few options, i'd love a bit more customization if possible, like changing size or transparency - Lastly, i noticed that poe 2 use different colors for some items compared to poe 1, and while you changed the gold color for rare items, there are some parts of website using the poe 1 colors, like the "Rare gear exception", "Rare Jewellery" and "Rare Breach Rings", this is something noticeable on the preview tab So i decided to change this myself and get the colors used in poe 2 using an eyedropper tool and here's the result: Blue: #7A97FE Gold: #FEE055FF Orange(uniques): #AF6019 Is not something that MUST be changed but i think it's nice to keep it consistent, and ideally the player could have access to both poe 1 and poe 2 colors if they wanted to, i think that would be nice Zuletzt bearbeitet von Vyend#2601 um 16.09.2025, 06:50:46

Thanks for the feedback! I'll already give a quick reply, and add some of your suggestions to my todo list. Quick general question though, do you play SSF, or HC?
- To highlight items with a high iLvl indeed you'd have to create custom rules, but I wonder if many people would want those. I'd imagine that just *showing* them should be enough? And you can actually already do that easily, indeed either through Gear Exceptions for the gear you're looking for, or in general, by setting the 'Hide Gear below Item Level' instead of, or alongside, setting 'Hide Gear by Rarity' or 'Hide Gear by Gear Tier'. I do imagine that most people rush quite quickly through the map tiers to T15; at which point all items will be at least 79; but I think most people will quickly only run waystones which have +1 lvl, so at least 80 (which mostly makes a big difference in XP gained). And so then items dropped by rare monsters are 81, and by unique monsters 82. Hence I preset the 'hide items below item level' to 81, which would only show items dropped by rares in lvl 80 maps, or uniques in lvl 79 maps, which I think is what most people would want. Either way, I'm aware that people will probably want different iLevels for different equipment slots. It's already on my todo list to create a tier list for that, and use that notion in various places of the Quick Filters. In the tier lists, I'd visualize all of the extra mod tiers which would become available for each of the iLevels; starting at 79 all the way to 82; and pick sensible presets. There are a couple of other large features I'd like to do first though; so that one is probably something for in a month or two. - Same for jewellery: I feel like people will quickly advance the waystone tiers and thus end up with only finding 79+ equipment. When I implement the above feature, people would be able to optionally set min lvl thresholds. - We can't filter on charm slots, unfortunately. - Hidden equipment cosmetics: indeed, I should look into that, added to todo list. - Actually, on the presets, it's always offered as a choice whether you want to hide all items by default. On the first 3 presets this is the "[ ] Hide Normal (and Magic) Gear not for your Character" setting under 'Leveling Filters'; on the last 3 this is the "[ ] Hide all non-Unique, regular Gear not for your Character" setting. I did add those after launch though, so you might have missed them. The 'Late Campaign' one doesn't yet hide rares by default; only normal & magic. Also, it's not so much that 'hide gear by gear tier' takes precedence -- it's that all of those 'general gear filters' are always all taken into account. This is also explained in that section's tooltip, with an example. - Thanks for the tip, I'll lower the preset Quality of the Quality Exceptions a bit. - No, we can't customize the beams. We can just set the color; their exact style is rendered by the game based just on that color. Only option we have to configure them is the 'Temp' option, which displays it only briefly. - Yeah, I know PoE2 and PoE1 use slightly different magic & rare colors ^^ I already use those for anything in-game, e.g. the 'presets' in the color picker dialogs. You'll notice it has #fee055ff for PoE2, and the slightly lighter #ffff77ff for PoE1. Same for magic and unique. But you're right that I didn't yet use the correct colors in the tool itself, like on the previews! I'll change this in the next version, thanks for reporting. Thanks again for taking the time to write up the feedback, it's really valuable! Author of https://poe2filter.com and https://poe1filter.com - Path of Exile 1 & 2 Custom Filter Generators

" I try to play a version of SSF that works for me, and by that i mean that i have the option to trade whenever i want to, but i try to avoid doing that most of the time Also i only rush to tier 15 to complete the atlas, i found that the damage you take in tier 15 is too high even with maxed res, i prefer playing comfortably in lower tier maps like 12 until i get a larger hp pool and the last ascendancy points, and i try to make my own builds too so they're not the most optimal most of the time " If you have an ilvl 80 rule it'll show all items of that level and above right? But most of the time the items will always be level 80, and iirc items with ilvl 84 can only have t1 mods, i think that highlighting an item like this is important because personally i don't drop them all of the time even in tier 15 though, is that just a me thing?
