Yes there is. It's to make you actually put some effort into your character and your playstyle.


Tell me what you think you can reasonably do to do to avoid periodic, on death, exploding corpses, as any character that cannot kill enemies from a screen away?

I can tell you from experience that having the proper resists and EHP doesn't help, and you cannot see these things happening on your screen in end-game.
