Right now my necro is at 1k. THeorycrafting for it to push further, however it may be with ES/Hp version not using saqawals.

I wouldn't try CI.
- Your base life will be 1, so we would get 0 ES from Spirit Offering.
- We have enough life as is to combat any chaos damage, so chaos immune is QoL, not a necessity, and you had to sacrifice 6-7k life to obtain it.
- Minions can't leech us ES

You would probably only get 300-400 ES 100-200 (can’t calculate SO ES) from the helm, but you would also get a large chunk of armour when combined with a granite flask. PoB shows me getting ~2300 armour out of the deal which is an additional 3% physical resistance.


Yeah late night derp for sure. Added the helm to my AG cause fuck it for actual numbers. This is what i got with 1200 Str not using megniord vise.

Pre helm: 3242 armour 8394 ES 17983 flask

Post helm 3777 armour 9038 ES 19848 flask

Note this is with my ES shenanigans for deeper delves (Moustache_servantspawner). Seems worth it for suriviability. The armour itself adds about 1k Vaal molten shell HP which is nice for delve.

Do you have more difficulty with survivability or dps in deep delves? For dps chaos conversion should be the highest possible dps. If you need more survivability, just change your gloves to Shaper's Touch and keep everything else the same. Actually, I see you currently have that setup with Geofri's + Soul Tether which will definitely increase your eHP, but without Seqawal's it will affect the rest of your build. Let us know how it turns out. ;)

Also, it's a very small change, but you since you are pathing to the right, "Energy Shield and Mana Regeneration" instead of "Spell Damage" would add 14 base ES scaling to ~70 depending on your increased ES.

Killed Uelder in 1:10 with this build(tank variant). I can smell that nerf coming this way.
I know this is not trade topic but WTB well rolled Lethal Pride, got 8-10 exa to spend.
Thanks OP for the comprehensive guide! I am one of those casuals that leech off and rely on the community for well made builds like this and do I know a good guide when I see one.

I tried step 6 for five times and I always got +1 gem level. But I lost Maim and kept cannot roll attack mods.

So you got a 50:50 to keep maim or lose it if I understand it right. Or am I doing something wrong? I think i just got bad luck, or?
Ah yes, you're right...sorry. I'll need to figure out what exactly they are doing. I've never done slam myself.


Another error: When you do this beastcraft you have to hit 2x 50:50 chance :-(
First fifty fifty is getting the right prefix. You can get +1 gem lvl OR Cast on Melee Kill...
Second fifty fifty is removing the right suffix. It can remove your craft OR remove your maim...

:-(

Trying both crafting methodes for about 11 ex now :-(


I used jlh165's method with the beast to craft my weapon. I guess I was lucky because on my first try I got the “+1 to Level of Socketed Gems” mod and the crafted suffix was removed.

The way I see it you have 2 choices on step 6 (at least...):

a) Craft "Can have multiple Crafted Modifiers" and "Cannot roll Attack modifiers" and then exalt. This way you have 80% chance to get the right prefix, since there are no empty suffixes. If you fail, add "Suffixes can't be changed" and scour the item, then try to exalt again. Once you get the desired outcome, remove the crafted mods.

Cost of 1st try: 4 exalts
Cost of subsequent tries: 3 exalts (+ 1 orb of scouring)

b) Craft "Cannot roll Attack modifiers" and then use the beast for a 40% chance of getting the result you want. This costs 1 exalt plus the cost of the beast.

This method can fail in 3 ways:

i) (10% chance) You get the wrong prefix but keep the maim suffix. You can then scour the item and start all over or just craft "Suffixes can't be changed" and scour the item, then repeat the step.

ii) (40% chance) You get the right prefix but the maim suffix is removed. Scour the item and start all over.

iii) (10% chance) You get the wrong prefix and the maim suffix is removed. Scour the item and start all over.
