[3.26] 🗡The Nightblade🗡3.27 : Ascendancy rework

I always take Mistwalker first, since Elusive grants movespeed.

For the other nodes, I reserve my decision. I'll have to see the numbers for Knife and Jugular in PoB (even though I can simulate them, but still, it will be easier when PoB is updated). Also, I'm still hesitating about a Bloodline or no. Shadowed Blood from our Ascendancy is very tempting.

Also doing a test run at the minute, lvl 52 currently with BF/Nblade/inc. crit chance/ poison chance. Could replace CTP with added chaos damage gem potentially, if one can be bothered to do the library in act 3. What do you think?

IMO, the best thing to do is to check the numbers in PoB.

I've reviewed the first post, removing outdated infos and updating what was needed.

PoB 3.27 beta : https://pobb.in/8h-kdZwbWDS6

I've improved the skill tree. Removed the Tolerance cluster to add Evasion and Spell Suppression.

80% Evade chance
100% spell suppression again (necessary with the incoming nerf). By doing some T17, I am now sure that this is a priority. Without 100%, you just die to any flurry of spells. PoB does not calculate the % suppression in the Effective Hit Pool (EHP), but the difference is massive.

Note the Runegraft of the Warp : buffs expire 30% slower, debuffs expire 20% faster.

Flasks have been improved, too, if you can believe such a thing (I've always been bad with flasks). A good Jade flask grants +5% Evasion = +33% EHP for me.

Pantheon has been tested again : Brine King to avoid deadly stun locks, and Aberrath at all times, because nowadays there are burning grounds everywhere in the game.

I've manually added 50% inc effect of Elusive.

Not sure yet about the Ascendancy nodes. Mistwalker remains mandatory, and so is Opportunistic. As for the two other, I'm not sure.

Technical explanations :
The Rage and Adrenaline node from Oshabi actually grants more DPS than Unstable Infusion :
10 Rage grants as much DPS as 4 Power Charges.
50 Rage grants 30% more.
Adrenaline grants equal dmg.

But do we take two Oshabi's Bloodlines nodes, so as to get the Elusive node too ? I'm not sure.

Hi again. Noticed you removed Bloodthirst in your latest update and replaced it with withering touch, but didnt elaborate on the reason why, so just wanted to ask if there's some massive difference?

Also, have your thoughts changed on Shadowed Blood as a 4th ascendancy? I'm 99% certain I'll be taking it, defense is harder to acquire than offense so I think it'd be a good shout but let me know what you think.
Think this build has any viability in the mean streets of ruthless? Im a big ruthless enjoyer and im curious to play NOT trickster for once. Though perhaps the gearing is just too much for that game mode.

Hi, good questions.

Yes I think Withering Touch allows for a much higher ceiling for DPS, provided you put enough stacks of Withered on the enemy. With my character, I just need 4 stacks to exceed the DPS I get with Bloodthirst. This is easy. And with the Nightshade Tincture, you can get 10-12 stacks.
I might test a Wither totem to get 15 stacks.

Some DPS numbers from PoB 3.26 :
With Bloodthirst : 5.65M
With Withering Touch, 3 stacks : 5.62
8 stacks : 6.9 (+22%)
12 stacks : 7.9 (+39%)
15 stacks : 8.7 (+53%)

As for Shadowed Blood, there is no doubt it is a powerful node, and you're perfectly right to reason that defense is harder to acquire than offense.

Just out of curiosity, I'll have to test the Elusive and Rage nodes from Oshabi, but I may perfectly use Shadowed Blood.
So I won't talk about mandatory choice here.

I've never played Ruthless. Gearing will probably be very hard, as for any build in Ruthless I guess. I'm afraid this build is very specific, while it seems in Ruthless you get to play whatever build you can assemble with the loot you get.

PoB 3.27 update

https://pobb.in/s3JteNfU9JdK

Long story short, we get more DPS on average, more Elusive effect and potentially more defensive features.

*

Some DPS numbers (in millions) :

Spoiler
Setup : No Power charges, 1 rare enemy, 8 Withered stacks, Punishment :
Knife In The Back : 7.9 | Low-Life : 8.5 | Average : 8.2
Jugular : 6.1 | Low-Life : 10.9 | Average : 8.5

Jugular is a better choice to get a strong end of fight, while Knife allows for a steadier DPS. I think I'll prefer Knife.

With either Knife or Jugular, Power Charges from Unstable Infusion become less relevant, which is a good thing since it frees a 4th Ascendancy node.

Oshabi's Bloodline

Spoiler
The Vivid Cat

My max Elusiveness would bbe 308%.
With Incorporeal, average is (308+20)/2 = 164% (versus 129% in 3.26).

If Elusive is removed at 100%, average is (308+100)/2 = 204%
But that's only half of the times, so that would be 184% on average.
184% = 27% chance to avoid hits

Wild Bear
50 Rage = 41% more DPS
Wild Savagery buff : 27% more
