Proj dmg is not useful for this skill, but the two nodes lead to a customized cluster of jewels that adds importants nodes on the tree. But you won't see this cluster on this website or on most character profiles opened in navigators. 3.27 : rework of the Assassin !

The buff to Power Charge chance is ok, but not a game changer (we already have max Power charges 100% of the time). Opportunistic receives a massive buff : 35% reduced dmg taken (up from 20%) is really good. Together with Born In The Shadows stolen from the Saboteur via Flame/Flesh jewels, we get 50% reduced dmg taken. Imagine that, halving dmg taken ! I like the idea of a choice between the Knife In The Back and For The Jugular, even though we lose bonus against enemies on full-life (which was not powerful anyway. Bonuses against enemies not on low-life are definitely better.) At first glance, I'd choose Knife, to get a stronger start against bosses. But Deathmarked could be good : level 30 Assassin's Mark grants +59% crit multi against cursed enemy. Shadowed Blood will open possibilities to make builds with bonuses while bleeding/poisoned/burning etc. I'm sure some of you will want to go full poison build. Overall, this looks very very good for us ! On second thought :
I'm tempted to remove the Power charge node, in favour of Shadowed Blood. A purely defensive node is rare enough and Unaffected by Damaging Ailments (poison, bleed, ignited) is very powerful. The recoup on Phys dmg is also good, as it will help us with the debuff of Petrified Blood. With Shadowed Blood, I can remove 4 points of Tolerance cluster, and instead take dmg nodes, or even some block (19% chance from Feline Swiftness, for instance) But first, we'll need to see the changes on the skill tree. * By the way, here is a new demo video for the build ! ... except this time, I haven't made it. No, this is from fellow player Josías Aquino, who plays a variant of the build : Blood Rage, Void Sphere, Poacher's Mark and the beloved Unshattered Will shield. Oh right.
35% less dmg taken is better than 25% reduced, all other things being equal. 25% less = 25% reduced, with no other less/reduced modifiers taken into account. In 3.26, if we count 15% reduced from Born in the Shadows : 15% reduced + 25% reduced = 40% reduced = you take 60% of dmg. If we add the 14% less from Infused Channelling : 60*(100%-14%) = 51.6% reduced dmg taken. = take 49% of dmg. In 3.27 : 15% reduced, 35% less and 14% less = 85*65%*86% = 47.25% = take 53% of dmg. So it's actually inferior, damn. Damn you, GGG, for forcing me to do maths in a video game ! 3.27 patch notes
"Spell Suppression now prevents 40% of Damage from Suppressed Hits and Ailments they inflict (previously 50%)." Ooch. If we want to play in the new league, we'll need Cyclone much more than Blade Flurry to clear the Breaches. Which is a good thing, because Cyclone and Cyclone of Tumult have been buffed : they now deal 20% more Damage at all gem levels. All daggers types gain +0.5% base critical strike chance. Good thing, especially for early game. For instance, our beloved Bino's Kitchen now has 8.5% base crit chance, up from 8%. Now, we'll need to see the new 10 Bloodlines.
