Essentia Sanguis looks amazing.

What if I told you there was a shield that had zero defense but gave 25% base block chance, 10% more ias, some mana, and most importantly ghost reaver?

That claw + 1h mace = eshield leeching groundslam, for example.

I think he's talking about the unique claw. Putting it in the offhand slot (like a shield) would qualify as dual wielding which gives a base 15% block chance (+10% from the claw's mod) and 10% IAS. The rest is self explanatory. ;)


EDIT: Wait, I think I may be wrong (or he's wrong with the mods on the claw, not sure). They don't all quite match up like I thought...

I don't think the numbers are bad. There is also the 1-50 lightning damage.

If it can be demonstrated that they are, I am happy to improve. However, there are a lot of things that work well with the mods on that item, if you build a character to properly exploit it (or two of them), it should be might scary.

Woah, I didn't even consider dual wielding these. That block chance would be crazy.

No, that was specifically the mods on the claw itself.

Don't use it for damage, use it as a shield-substitute (dual wielding gives 15% block chance (+10 from the claw is 25) and 10% more ias, the claw has ghost reaver)). There are a number of attacks that do not alternate hands, and yet more that don't work with claws.

Ground Slam, Leap Slam, Lightning Strike, Infernal Blow, Dominating Blow, Glacial Hammer, and Heavy Strike all have this effect. Of these, GS and LS are the only ranged ones.

i know this claw have low-medium base dmg alone, but if you know how to put in right build its quite powerful :)

Getting 30ias on it would make it viable for damage, and like I said, the low rolls can be used as a shield.
