rituals MUST have their own area being fully accesable to player

most a maps basically drop you in box and rituals because of that forced in corner where you get like 30-40% of intended area which is just dumb, why you wont make templates for spawn places of rituals to avoid these wierd corner rituals?!

While I wouldn't mind this, I don't think it's necessary. I treat ritual as a defense test. Can you both deal enough damage and survive long enough to finish the ritual.
Most builds I've made have been able to do ritual easily, and I don't play builds that are even close to meta. |

" Sure. I've played plenty of maps where ritual space was stupid tiny. At first I was a little annoyed but then It just became part of the challenge. In other words, I'm not against the suggestion, but I don't feel it's needed. Maybe this could be part of the atlas passive tree. If I could trade ritual size for power, that could be interesting. " I dont struggle either with rituals on my poor builds. It just get ridiculous the place they can spawn. (With hardly 5 monsters. On thoose maps you already know you'll get poor favours.) When you get them on top of other mechanics it's even worst and completely immersion breaking. You dont see nothing anymore and have 2 square to dodge while not bumping on Dannig or Delwyn... They can do it with temple circle. It's a QOL really needed. No need to put that in the atlas tree it should be the base. SSF player

" what if you get elite that spams damage areas and temporal chains fields everywhere?! or get surrounded , since some mobs have ridiculous speed.. this isnt even a challenge, its half baked mechanic that doesent work properly (spawning part). " Totally agree, the spawn algorithm on ritual is "creative." However, I don't like when the only challenge in the game is how fast you can clear the screen. Ritual, even in this borked form, forces me to consider defense in a different way from normal mapping. For example, tiny ritual zones means stun threshold is actually important. You will get hit by lots of mobs at once and you absolutely need the ability to react. I would be fine with them make the ritual spawn area more consistent. I would also love if passives could make the spawn area smaller while also increasing the amount of tribute mobs are worth. |
