ascendancy trials are TRASH content.
" > I can delete any pineapple boss in the game and run the juiciest T16s. > This isn't "git gud", it's "git used to a weird mandatory minigame". Decide please. |

" No it isnt Its just a Shower of shit. Im sure you can get the rain coat , it deflects 70% of all shit. You can get the rain boots from the market , 10% shit resistance. Then after wading through the shit a few times there is the shit snorkel . and the Shit mask, and even the anti shit cologne. And the Mint toothpaste almost totally removes the taste of the shit you got in your mouth . You can stand in a shit shower all day !!!!! wanna ? Get Gud, yeah right... Buddy if you havent noticed ... 98% of people left cause the game aint for them . And if they dont change this shit show, you and 10 sweaty nerds who reek of shit will be left. " I get what you're trying to do here with the whole "gotcha, contradiction" routine, but it only works if you pretend words mean whatever is convenient that minute. Ascendancy is the intro to endgame. It's the on-ramp. So why is the on-ramp shaped like a spiteful rogue-like minigame with its own rulebook, while the actual "hardest content" in the game is something I can farm half-asleep? I just re-ran suckhamas and bricked it three times. Sure, call it a "skill issue" if that makes you feel warm inside. Meanwhile I haven't died in juiced T16s in about a week. So let me get this straight - Juiced T16 endgame is easy-breezy - Mandatory intro gate to endgame is randomly punishing, time-wasting, and somehow harder If the tutorial is harder than the final exam, that's not "git gud". That's bad design with a smug soundtrack. |

" And where you got that? First ascendancy is about lvl 22, so it's hardly intro to endgame lol. Trials work as an extra challenge existing outside standard ruleset so the game checks if you are able to do something else than hold a single button and rewards you if yes but apparently you are not. " Sure, my mistake - when I say "ascendancy", I'm talking about ALL ascendancies, not just the level 22 baby version. Same way when I say "maps", I'm not talking about T1 waystones, I'm talking about the whole ladder - including juiced T16s. And the "can only hold a single button" comparison is just... dumb. Can you read? I've said MULTIPLE times I can clear juiced T16 Atlas maps. That's the hardest map tier in the game. I can also delete Uber Arbiter in 10-20 seconds, and if I swap to a proper boss setup it's comfortably under 10. Trials aren't exposing some deep gameplay truth I'm missing. They're punishing you with random, endgame-irrelevant nonsense that has its own rulebook and can brick a run for reasons that have nothing to do with the rest of the game. Also, I'm not "stuck" because I lack attempts. I've got so many Baryas and Ultimatums I'm basically vendoring them out of spite (30+). I can rerun whenever. The point is that having to rerun because you rolled "congrats, wrong punishment" is not difficulty. It's just annoying design. |

Disagree, but it seems that I'm in the minority of trial content enjoyers. I like both Chaos and Sekhemas. It is unpopular opinion though.

" Yeah, it's prime example of someone playing broken builds but actually being unable to do content requiring an actual skill and/or planning. Trials are good because you can't simply cheese them like the rest of the game (except for carry which should be disabled or made harder to do at least imo). |

GGG just needs to do one thing – split the Sekhemas challenge by floors using SekhemaKeys. Give players the choice of going for rewards and completing all floors, or just completing the floor they need for Ascendancy. The idea is roughly like this:
-The first SekhemaKey lets you complete floor 1; -The second SekhemaKey lets you start from floor 2 without having to run the first floor; -The third SekhemaKey also lets you start from floor 3, skipping all previous floors. -Then the fourth SekhemaKey lets you choose between running for rewards (Temporalis, The Last Flame Incense Relic, Time-Lost Jawels, etc.) and completing all floors starting from floor 1. Or give players the choice of completing only the Ascendancy challenge, or resetting it from floor 4, which doesn't allow group invites. Everyone can see Zarok and try all the Ascendancies without wasting time running around uselessly. With Ultimatum, I think the same idea can be implemented without playing on the players' nerves. |

This is a social phenomenon in which people torment themselves with this game.
- Trials - Trash - Trade - trash - Critcal Kills every step - trash - Impairing Effects - trash - Crafting - trash |

" lol, no. I'm not out here propping up some broken cheese build. I'm playing one of the most basic, intentionally boring "intended gameplay" builds imaginable - pure minions, Skeletal Storm Mages. I'm basically a stagehand for my skeletons. I mostly just exist, occasionally press "Pain Offering" when things get spicy, and otherwise "base minion damage" is enough to delete mobs - including juiced T16 bosses - in seconds. Could I swap to some busted spectre setup and abuse the hell out of it? Sure. I chose not to. I don't enjoy leaning on loopholes. It feels like exploitation, not gameplay. I even skipped the "weapon-swap-spawn-minions" thing because it also reads like "lol, trick the system" - forcing spawns under my feet instead of letting the game do what it's designed to do. So yeah - your comment is prime example of assuming a bunch of stuff you don't actually know. Zuletzt bearbeitet von Jyrlep#4788 um 27.02.2026, 02:38:57
