Warlord Berserker is not working with Players or Minions

Warlord Berserker is not functioning as intended.


When I gain or am gaining rage, players and minions in my presence are not gaining Rage.

What I've tried

Eternal Rage
Furious Wellspring (Shaman)


Confirmed with

Skeletal Reaver
Skeletal Snipers
Ravenous Brutes
Vaal Guard
Skeletal Warrior
2 x Party Players


Unless I'm misunderstanding something and/or doing something wrong, this is currently broken.

my generated rage is not apllied to my minions with "Warlord Berserker"

It sort of works. If you unspec out of any rage regeneration and socket in a rage support on a melee skill it will work. It seems like a massive oversight, or, at the very least, should be made clear, since now annointing warlord berserker is just debuffing my presence and providing no positive whatsoever.

It will not work if you gain rage when at full rage, either, which also seems dumb.

From the 0.4 patch notes:

Rage regeneration now pauses rage decay similarly to other means of gaining rage. This means that your rage will never decay while it is regenerating.

This wording implies that regenerating rage is just another means of gaining rage and therefore should apply to warlord berserker.

I played with this, and it seemed to work for me (though I was using the support gem to gain rage on hit). The kicker was that you actually needed to GAIN rage. If you had full rage and kept hitting stuff, your minions didn't get the regen.

It felt a bit jank/inconsistent.

My solution was socketing the support that let you spend rage into a secondary skill so I could spend a little and "gain" rage again.
