Talkative Tri's Podcast with Jonathan Rogers Next Week

Knowing it's a Jonathan - Tri interview, I instantly am prepared for a very soft and shallow peek of what's coming, and probably even skippable since no essential info will be said. Would have preferred the Ghazzy/Micro duo interview any day of the week - they come to me as a middle ground in both vibe and adequacy to the upcoming patch changes, but that'll require both Mark and Jon to be interviewed.

But hey, let's give some credit to the guy - he is not "THAT" bad - maybe a bit cringe and comes off as a casual player, which he admits to be, but he does want the game to be good, so he'll be hyped about it and won't make Jon uncomfortable as he's a "safe" pick for this uno-on-uno interview, and he'll just ask convenient questions that Jon will be able to answer. Which goes back to what I already said - I definitely don't expect anything new to be said outside of the reveal tomorrow, just some fluff and a pinch of excitement to keep us motivated until the patch.

Overall, I think there's no need for hate - I think he was asked as they would yap more than having an actual discussion on touchy topics, and tbh he's a good pick for this. Sadly, that's not what I personally want, but I am coping they are doing this move as Mark needs to rest from all the heavy carrying he is doing in the game development.

awesome! based on their previous interviews, Tri and Jonathan have a good chemistry. I'm sure he asks about the performance and the visual clarity stuff. And for Jonathan it must be nice to hear some of the more "casual" player questions rather than just the hardcore blasters asking for more and more juice and buffs. I think we get to hear about Jonathans actual vision for the future. And I prefer seeing Happy Jon rather than him being grilled to a crisp.

Yeah buddy, the 0.2 interview with zizaran which was made cause the community was on fire and grilling them everywhere, including the casuals, was not a one-off just to quiet the storm and has happened every single patch, including in 0.4 as we just saw /s

Agree with everything you said except GGG don't write the questions, I know for a fact that part doesn't happen. They do however get the questions that will be asked in advance, and can approve/deny what they will and won't answer.

I love Jonathan interviews, but I still can't bring myself to support a content creator that somehow will leave PoE viewers worse off from where they started from. I feel dumber whenever I watch one of Tri's vids. One of the most egregious and shameless glazers in the community. I don't care about the "feels". His content is meritless.

Well, they are don't writing, but they are denying hard ones obviously. What's the difference then? I would rather watch a "cooking" show than default interview with some guy who will never ever ask a hard question. I'm curious is Tri ever complete POE2 acts at least, the only poe2 gameplay I saw from him is just random poe2 hc act1 things. I don't think he is competent enough to ask any question about poe2.

Expecting default points:
"Your game is amazing", "Druid is such a brilliant idea to add to the game (it's was shown in POE2 like almost 3 years ago already)", "I'm very like that you had that thing ... (something that exist in POE1 for million years)". Meeeh

And... sad part that current GGG could say a lot of different thing on the interview and words they say could change on the next interview and the next one.
So, there is be a bunch of stuff mentioned, but when it comes to development and keeping promises - naaah.

I'm still waiting how Jonathan or Mark will show how they are completing all existing Acts in POE2 on stream (it was mentioned on the interview after 0.2) XD

No hate, I just want POE2 be a good game, but do developers want it?
