0.3.1 Patch Notes
Towers were fine, searching for them was not, right.
What if you consider this: Create a "Tower Waystone". -This Waystone can be placed in any non "special map"(unique, citadels, etc) -Cannot be placed within a radius of x# of maps, (you will have to balance that). IN the same order of ideas tablets have to be balanced, not utterly killed in this scenario. -This solves the need of mindlessly running the atlas for a tower overlap. -Allows players to have agency of the content they do, which one, when and how. -Enables players to also juice special maps better in a more straight forward way. In general a player want more affixes for those unique maps to get the most of them and its very annoying/frustrating to not have any tower around to get more citadel keystones or tries for special skills or items. imo games are meant to have fun, and while it should require time investment to get great gear should not demand as much time as a full time job. And current map tablet is a loss of the game identity and it is a step towards to its predecessor, I mean, why make the same game twice?. on a side note, please do something about delirium fog, game is graphically exquisite, and everything is lost when you are forced to play in grayscale or get less items in nice landscapes, yes arps are all about the items you can get, you know it... |

Overall, I like the tablet concept vs towers (rates need to be adjusted a bit) but still early. Typically in these scenarios it's easier to buff then take away - so don't mind that GGG may want more data and actual testing...before they decide to give a boost.
Bring back rares mini map icon asap or at least a counter of how many rares left in map. Personally I was in the middle - I don't rush maps but I also don't want to explore every section. The napping experience was awesome when I knew I had killed every rare and also completed the extra content I wanted i.e. abyss, ritual, breach etc... Besides knowing I got all rares - the icon helped guide to most extra content. |

Next league (and current in 2 days) will be dead if u GGG didn't fix rituals, now u can place only 2 tablet (1 for +1 lvl) for "ritual" only. No 1 in clear mind didnt go into this after free 2-3 towers maps gone. Enjoy.

Please return the rare icons. There is absolutely no point in taking that away.
Even if the completion condition is now based on killing the map boss, having the rare icons is still a QOL thing. One step forward and two steps back, GGG. |

I honestly have no idea how you do it.
You removed the tower farms that everybody hated, yet somehow made the game worse. Tablet micromanagement got much worse with all the inventory juggling you have to do when running different maps (if you don't wanna waste good tablets on shitty maps, which I assume most people would prefer). And the fact that you decided to nerf mob density is mind blowing to me. There are not too many good maps to begin with (feel free to check my list). And now, when we can actually skip the bad ones, I would assume that you'd want to make them all better, not worse. I won't complain about rare icons on minimap, cause others will and personally I can live without it. But why the hell remove the one that indicates that all rares are gone from "extra content" panel?.. Even if you don't HAVE to kill them all, you still might WANT to. And it's nice to know when you're actually done. I'm telling you guys, You have real talent for making our lives miserable. Orb of Alchemy is pretty much the only thing good in this patch.
- Bring back rare minimap icons ASAP, remove the need for boss fights. Leveling up I intentionally avoid bosses since the stupid one shot mechanisms and the resulting loss of XP (time playing the game) is way too harsh, especially for non-ES-builds. Some bosses are nightmarish for some builds. - I really had no issue with the towers, although maybe they were too scarce. I don't like this new individual map slot thingy. Whatever gets us further from PoE1, the better, in all ways possible. Really. Aside from those two issues, there's still a lot bigger problems in the game: - Skill gem levels need to go or in general, nerfed at least. Not only is there way too much power in the loot you find, but the +x to gem level modifiers trivialize a lot of the game content and make it a nightmare to balance. The jumps between just few levels are too intense and thus result in every weapon having to have that +5 to +7 level roll in order to be viable. Same goes for weapon speeds, the high tier speeds are way too high and result in breaking the game. - Too much power from gear, skill tree is really unbalanced throughout and dull and even there, there's loads of nodes that are either insta-picks that you must pick and others that are neglected by default. - Too much movement speed and the too much emphasis on it. The zoom builds of some of these ES/evasion characters are off the chart and break the game, both in the movement speed and skill/attack speed. It too trivializes the content and makes movement speed on boots extremely important, to the point of there's no use in otherwise high modifier rolled boots, if it doesn't have movement speed. Also there should be a cap on attack/skill and movement speed on characters, which would make balancing the game much easier. Too many spastic PoE1 style 0-1 button builds that need to be nerfed to hell. |
