they need to seriously address item power in early acts, martial weapons are outrageously OP and current 'crafting' shows it like never before. some quick fixes could be- severely limit item rarity or item mods available in campaign. weapon qual/damage runes - endgame exclusive. and THEN still nerf base weapon damage. the discrepancy between my fire mage or ED witch vs any char that uses martial weapon is absurd. i expect this to be the case across all spell casters vs weapon users. this is why we had so many polarizing takes on bosses this league start- some people felt hard locked where others would delete them in <10s.
No, they need to revert all the nerfs to monsters in 0.2 and 0.3.
If you kill mobs too fast with BIS items, then the game is broken, period.
I don't walk into a raid in WOW in full BIS and suddenly start 1 shotting bosses.
I don't know why ARPG players think this is normal for RPGs?
Because D2 came out before WoW and in D2 you would do the final dungeon and boss of the game in like sub 2 minutes, if even.
Do the people who post this stuff even play D2 back in the day? It was absolutely expected that you could essentially 1 shot all the bosses once everything was BiS.
D2 was a game from 1998. It wasn't perfect, it had issues, and I don't want to play the same game I played in 1998 27 years later.
You also did not instantly kill bosses your first play through in trash gear, while you do in this game, no mater your build.

It depends on what patch you are talking about. Pre 1.10 diablo 2 only melee were good boss killers because they had crushing blow. There was no infinity to give everyone conviction aura so casters had to hybridize their damage and you couldnt buy mana pots. Casters were pretty slow boss killers besides sorcs op static field.. Bowzons used to be the best before multishot was nerfed to where only 1 cast of the skill can hit a monster and you couldnt shotgun anymore. Hammerdins only worked so good because of 1.10 gear and the devs normalizing the concentration aura bug to boost its damage.
1.10 is what added the op runewords that sped the game up then they added the ubers to make some challenging content still exist in the game and ubers could really only be soloed on melee builds with the smiter being the best because smite is broken and bypasses accuracy.

David Brevik - the same guy that gave monsters immunities in D2 - a game about killing monsters for loot, but oh wait...you can't kill them....just run around them instead because that's really much more fun and rewarding! I'm glad he's not designing games anymore!

I found these Brevik words so much true.
After playing more than 20 years of arpg i still think that D2 pacing is best among all arps I played.
Sure it has many flaws, bossing is not really a thing in d2, no cooldown teleport as "must have" also shit... but what you expect of the game being abandoned for 25 years.
By the way I'd love to see immunities on maps in poe2, would be fun watching some meta LA guy dying to an immune pack :D
Just kidding...
In fact it would be cool if they also give ways to deal with them, for example lower resist with curses or unique items, break armor in case of phys immunity, apply exposure etc. anything beside your main damage to "break" the immunity first.
Or an atlas tree node in exchange to something
