Permanent Quest Reward Choices (Hinekora Tattoos and Venom Draught)
Please stop making story quests with permanent, unalterable quest rewards. It's very disheartening to see the Venom Draught reward is still unchangeable, but to see that another quest chain in the Eye of Hinekora doubles down on this with 3 tattoos that are permanent and unchangeable is beyond frustrating. The game offers no insight that these rewards are permanent, and the very concept is completely against the spirit of the game when every other aspect of character building is alterable. These rewards could have been fun and a happy little bonus to each character, but instead they now feel like regret-based mechanics when you get to endgame min-maxing and realizing that these could have been better spent.
Please allow for these to be changed, either by speaking to the quest NPC in the case of the Venom Draught, or by revisiting the 3 Hinekora statues for each tattoo. Nobody should be forced to reroll a new character to change a minor bonus. This is bad design and offers nothing positive to the leveling experience. Zuletzt angestoßen am 20.09.2025, 17:29:46

This was always interchangable even in days of PoE 1 where 4 acts were repeatable, having no recipe or a choice to change it now is completely bogus knowing every other reward you can interchange on a whim by simply teleporting to the previous location and changing the desired buff. |

True, the question you ask yourself when picking these is: what am I going to possibly need in the endgame? and there is no answer to that, unless you can foresee your future loot.
We could say these are so minor that it doesn't matter, which also would be true, but then we could ask, why is this in the game? I guess the premise was to make you feel good and incrementally more powerful, but in reality it forces you to decide on unknown, so you can feel bad about it later. |

If builds can change and do respec, and quest rewards are a part of that build, then those quests should also have a respec option. |

seems fairly obvious to me, since attributes can usually be solved easily by changing passives, you take the resistance. unless you are doing some kind of heavily invested attribute stacker, which is something you wouldn't do without planning ahead
for the venom, these rewards aren't really build defining they are sort of just small bonuses. they are really only helpful where the campaign is concerned, and again if you are heavily min-maxxing then usually that would involve some sort of plan for the future. tbh none of these things are build defining by any means and kinda just small bonuses you could probably live without anyway.
