My feedback about poe 2 - and why GGG should stick only with poe 1 and forget about poe 2

Not sure if you noticed but PoE1 started to go downhill years ago when they started PoE2.

If it isn't obvious yet. That's going to keep happening. I mentioned this around 3 years ago when players were insistent they could keep quality leagues in both games.

The game that pulls the most money, gets money put back into it. Don't get me wrong. I didn't think PoE2 would be quite this bad on release but it's their flagship now.

Man fucking preach.

They milked the entire PoE1 player populace for years under the whole *it will be part of PoE1 and just expand it with more classes and more campaign.

Then after getting their money, they bait and switch. And what they switch to is markedly worse than PoE1 in nearly every way except for the campaign.

But honestly, fuck the campaign. It's the shortest part of this game and will always be the shortest part every league.

I'll take the game with an actual end game, mechanics, build diversity, and crafting diversity(PoE1) over this steaming pile of something(PoE2)

Go back and play shitty PoE1 and don't touch game that has potential to actually be good.

Except he's right. Spot fucking on right.

Although, there ain't going to be no PoE1 to go back to thanks to this new thing that has no roadmap

GGG never had roadmaps. Roadmaps are garbage and do not let developers actively react to feedback. Stop trying to push shitty practices from other companies on to GGG. And they didn't say PoE1 is no longer developed, only that they have to temporarily move developers to PoE2 until it's fixed. If you're saying that PoE1 can't exist without constant life support of a new content releases then you just admit that PoE1 is a garbage game, because plenty of game existed for decades without any new content and there were still plenty of players.

Roadmaps are important if you want to fulfill promises of deadlines. They do nto need to be super long, but any company without a roadmap is doomed to failure (on timescale and feature creep fronts) on any complex project
Early Access just isn't meant for everyone. Between a severe lack of patience, to the unwillingness to read stuff before they buy it. Like this guy, who after being told it was no longer an expansion, paid to play it anyhow. Now is complaining about something that is, and has been common knowledge.

What GGG should forget about is about trying to make PoE 2 appealing for PoE 1 players. It will never work, and OP is another example of it, among many others. For the different auditory PoE 2 is the game with crazy potential, would be sad to waste some of it for pleasing players who will never appreciate this game.

Companies with roadmaps are doomed to fail eventually because roadmaps never allow any flexibility. Fuck off.
And yet another true poe veteran that cry over 1 portal lol
Heya,

As of today, the dumpster fire has only gotten worse, I take NO pleasure in saying that. As I said, I am an OG PoE1 player, along with other franchises, I want options for playing GREAT games. The buyout (10c) has obviously caused a great many changes to what was the ideals formed by GGG, they are long gone, everyone we thought were in charge, their visions...rode off into the sunset.

At some point, reality needs to set in, this is going to be a LONG slog, and 10c has NO ideals except to get as much money as they can from "us".

ANYONE who says PoE2 is a D4 beater is irrational, it's a copy/paste (except for short campaign), it's a pathetic, broken, and has NO endgame that isn't as I said, copied/pasted from PoE1. 3 acts, that's what ALL the years they worked on it...SMH.

WTAF? Shame on them, shame on 10c, and shame on anyone left trying to put lipstick on a pig.
Well, the whiners won.

GGG took ressources from PoE2 and sent them to poe1.

So the sinking ship that should have been left after so many years and a good end, is now pulling down the new ship.

If they try to make both happy, neither will be.

Its important that you ride the momemntum of a new game and deliver constantly till there is a good base.

PoE2 had this good momentum and now its stagnating, losing valuable players. I played till today but honestly with no templar or druid or even a different melee than stupid maces I honestly been bored out of my mind with what we have right now.

The momentum is slowing down, and the focus again on PoE1 will kill both.

PoE2 cause nothing new and to late. PoE1 cause it was not beginner friendly to begin win and poe2 player will be gone out of anger to it.
If the forums were a mediaval court, it would be filled with jesters and doomsayers

There is no new ship. If PoE1 is a ship, PoE2 is a makeshift raft held together only by bubblegum. Allocating any resources to it as things stand is corporate suicide, and it's only happening because Jonathan only cares about the vision and short term profit. It needs an insane amount of work to become a good long term game at the moment.
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.

Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".

Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts.
