THAT'S IT GGG - YOU LOST 200K PLAYERS WITH THIS!

Forget the title above, it was completely clickbait and if you read this, it probably worked, because you didn't know what this thread was about, but you still clicked on it, just because the whole title is written very provocative and invites people who are either "against" or "in favour of" GGG.

It's sad to see that threads, that have strong provocative titles and content, often with little to none constructive feedback, generate more attention then actual well written feedback threads. This leads to a more and more toxic writing-behavior and in return lessens our impact on the game, because (passive-)aggressive posts often contain alot of emotion, but seldom suggestions on how to make something better.

If you read through some of these hot topics, it's very often not about the game anymore. People are offended from each other and try to defend their point of view by attacking others. Here and there someone tries to make a sound argument, but especially these posts get either no response or are also attacked.

Is the PoE community really that toxic? Or can it do better? I wonder.

Oh my, people disagreeing with each other. How uncivil.
I have also noticed that there is a lot of toxicity and needless aggression in these forums.

It also appears to be a bit one-sided. In defence of higher difficulty / more punishing game mechanics.

I don't mind people disagreeing with each other. But there is a difference between discussing different views/opinions, or attacking each other and making it personal. I just expect more from grown-up people, but the anonymity of the internet gives people a sense of security. No one knows your name, your face and there's alot of distance between the people here. In real life, if people would say the same things as they do here, they would probably end up in physical conflicts and that's why people usually can behave when meeting someone face to face.

So all I'm doing here is advertising to keep it more civil and actually behave like grown-up people.

I fail to see how this is more helpful than those threads though xD Just more for them to filter out to get to the real data xD

Men can yell at each other in real life and still be civil with their fists, my woman.

Well, I just want to point out a communicative problem that exists right now and try to promote more constructive feedback. We all want PoE2 to be the best ARPG ever existing, but I don't think we do any good by being toxic.

I don't think so. There is not just black and white. You can dislike something about PoE2 without hating GGG and you can like something about PoE2 and still be critical about certain things GGG does. And very often I have the feeling here, that people tend towards the extremes when it comes to GGG.

Sure, they can, to a certain degree at least. And if you constantly overstep your boundaries, men will also stop talking and do what they have to do. And this is a consequence no one here on the internet has to face. So for many here it seems like there is no need to "keep it civil" and overstepping boundaries non-stop. GGG had to step in multiple times already and close threads, because people weren't able to keep the tone down.

Oh yes, go ahead be nice, that works wonders.
No wonder we got constantly updated game(oh wait) and not another early access scam.
NPC behavior as usual.

There's a difference between being "critical" and "toxic". There's a difference between saying "The current silence is not good for the game" and "GGG you piece of s***, TALK TO US!". Same meaning, but one being constructive, while the other is just plain toxic and leads to more toxicism.
