Warrior is Dead

Warrior is still good, it isn't dead because they nerfed or bugfixed Armour Explosion.
Though it was fun to use before it got killed.

The thing holding warrior back is all the limitations on some skills.
skills that consume armor break can't build up armor break? okay, what if I try to go around it by making it so heavy stunning mobs breaks their armor? No, you can not do that. Okay how about fissure, I'll put it on a ancestral(spelling?) totem so it'll throw them out and I'll proc them with sunder or leap slam. Does not work because its not my fissure... Okay I'll make the totem sunder, it ends up eating my armor break.
I never really got that 'outsmart the dev' moment with warrior. It always felt like someone was watching over my shoulder whispering "you can't do that" when I try to get that moment.

my current twohand/shield warrior is doing fine but holy hell is it slow to the point I'm using leap slam as my movement because its safer (You can raise shield mid air blocking attacks and when you land with it raised you can start moving immediately) and by the time mobs are running at me I've already landed on them killing them or priming them for a heavy stun from boneshatter to clear the group out.

Warrior Shockwave totems has been amazing. Posted a guide here. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3636574
Long live the Warrior!

not sure why ES scales to +10k easily when you have to get high max life rolls on every gear piece to get around 3k total life, armour is probably the worst defensive aswell, at least block does work so you have to play 2h + shield with Titan's Blood to survive any +10 map
Because there is way more ES on the passive tree than max life. Its like they replaced all the life nodes with "recoup as life"
You can still make them work. But man does it feel sluggish. Even watching people who's traded all their gear, it still looks sluggish. Totems are just not interesting.
Where are the speedy builds? Even if I wanted to build a really fast zoomy build and go down a few levels on maps for farming, there's no option to. Why?
How did you get past the first Devourer boss? I'm not even kidding lol
If you wanna have fun, dont play melee. Especially no warrior. I am 90 and it just feel not good or is funny to play. It's just a form of stress and this combined that you feel like a armored snail and btw hammer of gods is nice but have you seen other classes? They kill bosses at least the same way like the titan but mapping is 4 times better and faster.

SO dont play warrior till they reworked this class 100 %

Why does that not work anyways? Today I found out my build is completely non viable and dead.
Shattering blow breaks 50% of armour on heavy stunning enemies. crushing impacts make your hits heavy stun all enemies primed for stun. Yet they both don't work together.

Makes literally no sense to me. Generally if the wording in POE seems to work, it does.
I honestly don’t see how Warrior is supposed to work now. The Giant’s Blood Keystone now halves the Life you gain from Strength, which guts the core scaling for a class that already struggles to meet extreme STR requirements (often effectively tripled). You’re basically forced into a two-handed weapon in one hand plus a shield just to survive—without that, you die.

Clean speed is the real killer. Armor Explosion (the intended replacement) got nerfed in week one and doesn’t clear. Herald of Ash should fill that role, but it’s been nerfed to the point of irrelevance compared to Herald of Ice. Right now the ONLY reliable way to clear packs on Warrior is Herald of Ice. Try playing without it and you’ll crawl through maps.

And this isn’t just my opinion. Streamers and build-makers who live off this stuff are saying the same thing: Warrior won’t work this league. If even they can’t make it function, what are the rest of us supposed to do? I’ll still play it just to confirm the obvious and probably quit in the first week.

The only realistic fix: reduce weapon attribute requirements across the board (especially for Warrior weapons). The “reduced attribute requirement” mod is the only reason the good weapons were ever viable; without it, you end up needing 700–800 Strength just to equip something, which destroys your ability to invest in HP or anything else.

So what’s the plan? What option are we supposed to have? From where I’m standing, this nerf just looks like a push to make people stop playing Warrior altogether.
