Path of Exile 2: Upcoming Changes and Improvements

As someone very new to Path of Exile (GGG, POE1, and POE2 concepts in general) with only about 15 hours in POE1, I’m finding the constant nerfs incredibly frustrating. Every time I build something that works, it gets changed. It’s really discouraging to feel like I have to keep starting over with new characters. First, my Sorceress, then my Ranger, and now my Witch—it’s exhausting.

On top of that, I have no gold, and respeccing feels impossible. I’ll admit it’s probably because I don’t understand the in-game economy yet, but it’s not enjoyable to log in, die to a boss 20 times, finally find a build that lets me progress, only for it to get nerfed.

Take Blizzard for example: they realized how bad it feels to nerf what players are actively enjoying mid-season. That’s why something like Spiritborn is still broken in their game. I’m not saying Blizzard’s a perfect model to follow, but the logic makes sense—
if you alter and nerf things too much, too quickly, it alienates newer players like me.

I already feel overwhelmed: I keep getting crushed by bosses, I can’t find decent gear, I have no currency to respec, and my Ice Sorceress build—one of the only things that gave me a sense of progression—was nerfed. At this point, I’m wondering: Should I just log in next year when the alpha is over?

I know I probably sound like a newbie, and it’s true—I am one. But it feels impossible to organically find my place in this game or make meaningful progress.
Nice Balance.. But what about Rain of Arrow? It feels horrible only able to shoot 1 area at a time, while also having to pray my small arrow hopefully hitting that 1 small monster.
And shock and freeze getting a nerf again. Socc players can't even rest in peace.
Not reading all that but bro this is basically free/paid QA test for GGG and come on..you’re playing EA nothing is “safe”
your problem was arsonists? and no the sorc cast on build that destroys everything and freeze them? or the monk build that one-shot bosses? nice work again ggg for destroying a build and let other more op to survive
how is there still no changes to Blood Mage, are you fking serious! SO ANNOYING to be always dead and out of mana no matter what you doing! FIX IT!

GGG, what do you think about a 3 portal T1-5 maps, 2 portal T6-10 maps, and a 1 portal T11-16 maps? Might help newer players as they enter maps with low resists to gradually gear up and get some currency to craft or purchase gear. 1 portal kind of blows to be honest, don't need 6 but 1 is kind of lame. Penalize red mappers with 1 portal if you think that is really a needed game system.

I only see the Combat Frenzy buff for generation, which isn't a bow skill?
RoA, Barrage, Spiral, and Ferocity <use> them but don't generate.

Is this saying that there will be bow skills added / updated that will generate frenzies?

I’m a lightning sorceress and I’m pretty happy with the changes. I use kitoko’s for electrocution but not the support gem primarily because of the damage reduction, being able to use the gem without penalty should be fine for election build up. I also didn’t previously use the lightning exposure gem because of the damage reduction. Now that they have removed damage reduction on both gems I feel like I will be in a better place overall.

Also the main reason for electrocution was because of dealing with unfair mob situations and since they have made high end content easier the overall effect is an overall positive. Lastly if you look at top player rankings sorceress is squarely number 1 and has the highest proportion of players in the top 100 so I don’t see how we can complain with such minor adjustments.
Are bugs ever going to be worked on? I feel like the majority of stuff happening are balance issues, when you've got bugs that should be fixed well ahead of these.

1. When using WASD for movement, you can use skills on your left mouse button, but it's almost impossible to click on items. Sometimes it takes 6+ clicks on an item to pick up. This makes WASD almost unusable, or at the very least super duper annoying. As we all found out, WASD is a fantastic control mode, but you need to prioritize fixing this! Since I am not sure if ALL skills have this problem you can test with Unearth as this is one of the skills I am using on the left click.

2. Really bad frame rates. Turning audio "Channel Count" down to low somehow gives you a 20-30% FPS increase. Coding or API issue with your audio engine. Move it over to FMOD or work with their support.

3. Really bad frame rates. Standing in town FPS especially drops to really low rates, even though the CPU and GPU are not being taxed at all. DLSS appears to do nothing. Work with Nvidia.

4. Getting stuck on corners/items is really frustrating. You need to smooth out the collision code so you slide around corners and vases and such.

5. Creatures are too hard to see when someone is using spells that set the entire screen on fire or other effects. It makes multiplayer almost unplayable. We need a way to always highlight mobs or to turn off other players spell effects, or to tone them way down to 1/3 vibrance.

6. Can't unsocket runes. It doesn't seem like you just ruin an item with low level runes. It just makes me never put runes into items always expecting to get a better one. I want to say this is a bug because it doesn't make any sense.
