Pre-last rooms before scorpion(3 floor boss) choices -25 max honor or -25 move speed = very enjoyable (no)
As many are saying, the trials are far too punishing to melee builds. Melee are meant to stay in close combat for the most part, not hit once and then frantically run around so that you don't lose honor (which is a bs addition in itself). My warrior is super tanky & has been able to trade blows with everything so far without being in any real danger. It makes no sense to have a mechanic that makes my character lose even though his health is full.
I passed it with 9 honours left.
Start the boss with full honours.
volcanoes on the ground mess me up so much.

and this is just Act 2. Plus I use poison grenade + totem to help.
I can't imagine how I will pass it on act 5. I heard we need to do it for 3 floors.

I will be down to do these for cool loot as a fun side challenge. but for something like this to be linked to ascendancy points... is kinda BS.

If you want to die on the trial from niche league mechanic hill, at least make it so that the trial runs are tutorial difficulty as long as the player does not yet have the ascendancy and let the challenging ones be very rewarding for loot.

Small curses like "you cannot see the rewards of the rooms" should not be part of the mechanic, time limits at the end of floor 3, where you can't kill monsters and they eat through your honor should not be part of getting your ascendencies etc etc...It is overtuned, only sanctum connaiseseurs like it, but sanctum is just a niche league mechanic with great loot, nothign else. get rid of it for ascendencies.

needless to say the alternative, Ultimatum is so overtuned, it should be removed from the game completey. People where dellusional when they told you they want Ultimatum back, it is the epitome of bad game design.
Maybe having half honour points and only loses to traps.

This could fix for melees, tank builds.

+1, delete the honor system
Please remove these as the means to Ascension. I've tried the Act 2 one solo and in groups and failed every time. Yes we may all be rubbish but that shouldn't stop us making a fundamental game progression. This is even after the recent changes' to make it ""easier".

Leave these things in as optional for those who like this content but please add another means to Ascend. Really fed up with doing nothing but constant fails on this. Its not what I paid for and yes I've tried levelling up etc to no avail.

Please make these trials optional.

When you are forced to interact with this for your 3rd ascendancy it is completely stupid. I have farmed honor resist relics (at 54% total) get through the first floor without a single point lost to honor.

Next floor got 90% of the way through and had about 3k honor going into boss fight of second floor. I take down the fire twin and had the cold guy at about 1/3... only lost about 100 or honor. Then the slams star bursts of ice and fire from the sky FILLS the entire arena. Impossible to avoid and run lost...

This was the 4th time I have ran this for my 3rd ascendancy... It makes me want to quit the game... I just don't feel like I can make any progress at all. I can't "get good" when EVERYTHING destroys your honor and you can't avoid afflictions that do even worse. This was only the second floor!!!!!

I destroy tier 4 maps but I want to feel like I am progressing as a character.
You're right.
Sanctum is interesting as an independent piece of content, but it's a game where mowing down a lot of enemies is what makes it fun, so being forced to avoid them is not for everyone.
At the very least, I hope they stop making it into content for Ascendancy.

My biggest beef with the honor system is how it makes you play like a complete effing coward. Completely silly, half baked mechanic.
