First of all, I didn't have any problems anywhere else, everything else ran smoothly, and yet it was apparently due to my internet connection, as I found out after a long search. There was a relatively high amount of packet loss between the router and the provider. I found this out with the help of this internet benchmark https://de.packetlosstest.com. I tested this extensively to make sure that it wasn't my network or device that was causing the problem. I tested with different devices (PC and smartphone), Ethernet cables, and Wi-Fi, and I also tested with my smartphone on other networks to make sure that it wasn't the device that was causing the problem.
In the end, I was pretty sure that it wasn't my network.

Here are the settings I used.

A technician from my provider then fixed the problem.
It seems that Path of Exile 2 is very sensitive to such things. This is consistent with reports from other users I have read who got rid of the problem by switching from Wi-Fi to cable.

Aaaand I just died in HC because after I used the checkpoint with 50k ping by the time the game caught up a single mob killed me.
Same issue. 100% packet loss but I am connected to ethernet. Fix the game GGG or someone help a brother out need to map but game is unplayable.
