Unable to Reserve Cast on Shock

Same problem with Cast on Shock

Put a skill gem into it and it fixed it for me.

The tooltip might be wrong and should say something like "There is no skill linked to this ability"

On the skill page there's an arrow on the right of the skill that gives you stat details. On the bottom you have to click on the "use with weapon set 1".

Ok, here is how it works:

1) Press G
2) Locate the skill that is not working for you so "cast on XXX" and hover over it
3) At the bottom of the skill it says "Place one or more skill germs into the meta gems sockets..."
4) Take a drag the skill you want to connect it with to the empty sockets
5) it will equip them and you can use the skill now :)

This is not the question from OP here.

I have the same issue. It has to be related to weaponswap points. After I set up a lightning/fire swap i tinkered around with cast on shok and suddenly it stopped working. Cant reactivate and no altering the used weapon box helped. Have to spend a lot of gold to make it work again :/

I created a new setup, now it works again

I found the Solution - its the Spells fault which was altered by tinkering around with the checkboxes. To repair it socket the gem into a free socket and activate both weapons again. Then you can put it back into the Cast on shock. Should work again.

Thank you! that worked for me...you have to click in the triggered ability and set it to works on both weapon sets!

Same issue with Cast on Shock. I tried doing the solutions others have posted but it has not worked unfortunately. When I hover over Cast on Shock the spirt display at the mana bar shows I have wiggle room with it, yet when I right click it it does not work.

Common things to check for Cast on X:

1) Use a skill gem working with cast on X (a spell);
-For melee monk, Cast on Shock only works with Profane Ritual for exemple.-
2) Check if you have enough spirit available;
3) Check if you have the required stats on your character for all the gems;
4) Check if you have the right weapon set activated for the skills;
5) Check if you don't have a bricked gem with weapon set
