[0.3] Chronomancer Megathread. WIP.
Is CoC really an option for Chrono? Whenever I think of it the first thing that comes in my minde is "Bloodmage is so much more suited for that". So is there a good way to proc CoC for Chrono?

I was up to trying Trinity Storm weaver or Minion Chronomancer, although I dunno if it's gonna scale enough on SSF for endgame like Witch.
Are there any variants less reliant On time Freeze as far as Minions go? |

" Eh, basically, Cold Chronomancer was about CoC-Comet since the end of December 2024. Please pay attention to the mana pool. Temporal Rift was used to refill it. In 0.2, it was all nerfed, but the concept of CoC was (and still is) the same. Answering your question - I dunno about 0.3. Things that were used prior to it are so dead. " I dunno about minion Chronomancer at all, and I'm not sure about the reason to play w/o Time Freeze, or even the reason to choose Chrono over the witch summoner. I think the whole Chrono minion was more like a meme or abuse of Time Freeze build, I was thinking something elemental damage reliant on dps with minions acting like cursers/buffers although I haven't put some theory behind it to see if it's actually feasible in terms of spirit and efficiency.

" previously, cold spells had high crit %. And Chrono CD was a large boon to frost wall and frost bomb. so, cold crit chrono was a solid match. the massive nerfs to cold have really hurt this of course. --- For me, I was interested in the slowmancer, and dot idea. I might look into that later. but, I think I will attempt to make the eye of winter viable. 15s cd is rough for sure. so its really going to need the builders to be viable for clear alone. flamewall, bomb, orb of storms... which I have doubts on. especially after the recent notes, reducing orbs new damage. we have been focusing entirely on the skills. not talking about build enabling uniques and chrono.
and... Im not going to do the work to list them all, or present a full build... But, heres a couple ideas, that I know people did in .2 Recoup. https://poe2db.tw/us/Sacrosanctum 5-10% damage taken recouped as life. AND ALL damage recouped as life is also recouped as ES. does basically make Recoup viable. Rapid river, pliable flesh, and grab a bunch of recoup jewels, passives. boom basically unkillable. This then can be paired with two other options. self damage, such as fireflower. https://poe2db.tw/us/Fireflower or, thorns. cold thorns was a thing as well. I'd have to go look back at the fireflower builds in .2, and see if any of the changes, such as SNAP actually make it stronger.. also, I wonder if SNAP will have cold, fire, lightning tags, and scale with ALL 3 +to skills. aka, will snap get +8 to skills, with +4 to cold spells, and +4 to fire spells. |

I'll try chaos
Despair and new curse with hex blast,just stack Some skill effect duration and curse mag the damage would be kinda nice,well the numbers should be considered,and need to look at the damn passive tree |

So, only things left for clearing for cold spells is new Frost Darts or Ice Nova.
Frostbolt was already meh in 0.2 and required Snakepit that was really expensive. Eye of Winter doesn't look that bad for single target considering 900% more damage on first hit, 100% extra damage from each element and added damage from flame wall. It might be really not bad considering we can use Time Snap and Second wind to have atleast 4 uses at once. And it will also build lots of energy for trigger spells. Have weapon set 2 will skill duration passives. On old tree with 3 skill duration branches and persistence support, Frost Bomb will have 12 sec before detonation, Flame wall will have around 19 sec duration, and Orb of Storms will have 30 sec duration. Solar Orb isn't really needed since there's Flame Wall. And at the end you can use snap to detonate frost bomb if you still have time. Zuletzt bearbeitet von PaintMaster#2396 um 29.08.2025, 09:50:22
