Also gave it a fair shot but oh boy is the dmg a strugel even with +5to gems around mid cruel it sucks. Bosses it's near perfect play and you might finish with 1 flask charge left.
Blood age with Ed contaigen despair and hexblast with almost all chaos nodes in the north part of the tree and all duration. Am now in maps and it was impossible to do because of the swuishines and 1 portal death. Swapped to a shield and I can veryyyyyy slowly clear the zones 50% of the time still dmg sucks or more precisely the 4+ skill stack up sucks for the trash dmg to be OK. Asuming Asuming you land Ed contaigen in 1 go you still need the despair and dark effigy for the dmg to feel OK otherwise it's not great. Did someone find some secret sauce and made it work late cruel or maps? |

" Chaos damage does not go through ES anymore, only bleeds and specifically poison ignore ES, and bleeds can only apply if the ability does life damage. So the only worry is poison and for me at least a single poison charm has been adequate along with my chaos resistance. Just to clarify, Despair only really works when you lead with it right? If you lead with Essence Drain / Contagion to Despair, it won't do anything because of snapshotting?
I'm more inclined to do Enfeeble/Temporal Chains then just for convenience. |

so after reading all thread, i assume the only reasonable ascendancy right now for ed on witch is demon form? meh not a fan really, probably will play something else while someone figures a good build lol its and was a blast until act 3 but i can feel now im not scalating really good

I went Blood Mage and now I'm wondering if it was a mistake. I don't know how 'Curses don't expire' interact with Decaying Hex, I would think as long as they're in range of Blasphemy, it would reapply, but now I'm not so sure.

" Just to warn, hexblast is bugged and only does damage with 1 curse and not 2. So its only doing half the damage it should atm. I really tried to get Chaos to work with my bloodmage but the damage just doesnt seem to be there. |

" Can you stay in Demonform with this regen? I had 75% of your nodes, didn't take Full Recovery though and I still got killed in Demonform. I also realized that Demonform negates weapons and kind of lost interest in it. |

One thing I missed, is weapon skills/weapon swap.
Making one set for ED with more damage nodes, focus and good+lvl wand and another for other skills with a shieild / mana regen wand and more curse nodes made maps way more enjoyable. |
