How is merc setup looking like now with what uniques to make it tanky etc?
I can give you what I'm using, idk if its ideal or not. But it seems to be very tanky and work quite well.

Using a caster merc w/ envy + Zealotry.

Dying Breath - Weapon
Leer Cast - Helm
Shapers Seed -Amulet
Asenath's Gentle touch - Gloves
Garb of the Ephemeral - Armor

Rare belt that gives 20% increased Zealotry aura effect
Rare ring that gives Zealotry has 15% increased aura effect

Now my one issue is that I need to get a second curse option onto her, because she is casting despair and gloves are casting curse enemies but thats on hit, so not the biggest deal.

Survivability has been great, and damage increase I get from them is fantastic.
Where do you have your Pantheon set too?

I love soulrend and had alot of fun with your build. I run it with Mageblood and have put at least 100-150div into this build (not including mageblood).

Sadly it's the last time I play Soulrend. The build is really fun for clearing but t17 bosses just take way too long to kill. To anyone reading this and wants to try this build, yes you can do t17 bosses even the juiced up maps but bosses just take waaaaayyy too long to kill.

I know you said that in your guide video as well but I was really hoping after some heavier investment that the t17 boss kill becomes more bareable but nah.

Also I made chaos golem as tanky as possible and it just wont stay alive in t17. Very tedious.

I have 100% chance to poison with tattoos idk how to make poe.ninja show them.

I also got Envy+Zealotry merc with double curse setup, Dying breath+Leer+Garb for crit resist. Merc uses Defiance of Destiny+Kaom's bindings so it can tank t17 very well.

OVERALL very tanky build, most t17 maps I do, I can almost always just sit in one spot and face tank everything but yeah damage is just really bad against bosses. Clearing maps on the other hand is very good and relaxing.

I've pushed level 100 for the first time with this build and this is my variant of it: https://poe.ninja/profile/nikvaro-1089/character/NikLikesCatRend (Config: Endurance charges, Enemy: 15 wither stacks, hindered, is on consecrated ground and unnerved (by merch)). The cast speed is just for the caster mastery to open chests, normally I would run more medium cluster. My wand is also just okayish.

There are some things you could to to improve your damage:

Body armour: +2 or even +4 will push your damage. The +4 of my build is +55% damage in PoB

Flasks: Sulphur and Silver instead of Jade and Sapphire, around +10% each

Skills: Get a source of arcane surge. It should be better than efficacy in the 6L.

Cluster: The investmen in small points is quite heavy without taking notables. From my understanding the notables should be better than the 12% increased chaos damage. In PoB: show node power at the bottom -> Power report -> "Show unallocated & clusters" to find good notables. Touch of cruetly should be a really good one.

The craft of your rings should do nothing for soulrend, only for attacks. If you want damage, increased damage is prefix. I used +mana and %reduced mana cast for better sustain. Also use noxious catalyst on them.

Also if your merc is giving your crit immunity you could a different watcher's eye.

Simplex amu and cogwork or helical ring can push it further, but I couldn't afford these yet.
I'm enjoying this build so far, pushing to T15/16 but I'm starting to have survivability problems.

I know that I should probably get a 6-link asap and cluster jewels, but that's not really defensive and doesn't put me in any closer into "infinite ehp" realm. I've upped my block chance a bit recently, but it's still far from capped and Impossible Escape thingy is too pricey for me atm. Not sure where to go from here to make a significant difference.

Thoughts?
Haha yeah I bought the crit immu watcher's eye and had already spent the divines on it when I realised I had garb on my other merc to grab away from.

I thought about re-crafting body armor, I had that ES body in bank from other build crafts and just went with it. I thought about +2 or higher but at the end of the day I realised while it will boost the damage, it wont be enough.

Same goes with rest of what you said, very good advices but realistically, the damage will still be lacking (while alot better, still).

Still tho, very fun and tanky build. I sold all of my gear so no more fixing or testing from me.
