[Outdated] Lancing Steel Raider | SoftCore | Not league starter viable anymore

I guess this is probably because this is only my second league, but I bought a Saviour with resolute technique on it, not knowing it removed all critical hits. Feel like the guide should include a warning for the idiots like me. Also would damage percentage be better for the saviour or global accuracy?

Unfortunately I have to reroll a character for the first time ever. I gave this one several tries because I wanted it to work. Map clear is working but single target dps is so very bad. I don't think a 6-link Lioneye's (which would be the next upgrade) is solving the problem. I'm up for ideas though.
To make things worse I almost crash on every boss or large group of mobs if there are too many projectiles on the screen (when saviour procs on call of steel). As I can see Leckarion stopped playing the build as well. |

This build is crap sry man, but u cant even lv with it, it does ZDPS, had to switch to frostblade, not even worth

I see there are some people that are disappointed with the build, so I decided to post my thanks.
This is 2nd league I go with this build and despite the nerfs and gear worse than last league (I'm around 10m Sirus DPS with clones) it's still great. I die more often than I'd like to, but there is stil a lot of room for upgrades. Once again thanks for the build! I played this through Awakener 5 as a raider frenzy stacking with darkray vectors. I also ended up moving to the phasing tree for ailment immunity, although with the flask un-nerf that might not be necessary. It is definitely not a dead build and zooms through low red maps with a ~20ex build, but it just does not sit well economically in the current meta and getting enough gear to make t16 bosses comfortable will require significantly more investment.
A good Paradoxica is 25ex+ There is heavy competition with meta (mostly various SST) builds for pride watchers eyes, +1 frenzy corruptions, cluster jewels, lioneye's chest, and the awakened gems you need to scale the build. In minor good news, Ryslatha's Coil is cheap because of gambling (but resists are so tight I think the Nomad is better). The playstyle of the build is very binary: either you are strong enough to blow things up in the duration of vaal grace or it's very rough. Importantly due to steel shard charge/spend mechanics this build does nowhere near the pob dps in reality. I think the build is still workable but would not recommend it unless you are an experienced player comfortable with tuning the build and able to generate significant currency. The raider version will likely be slaughtered by nerfs next league, so probably play it now if you have interest. |

" Cheap things to aim for (Less than an Ex) -Amulet anointment, though you probably should get a better amulet first (life, res either crit multi or physical damage) for cheapish -Abrasive Catalyst your Ryslatha Coil -Your demon knot ring could be better (endurance and -mana cost doesn't do much compared to the alternatives right now), replace it with another ring following either the lgoh/glass cannon route 20 life for each attack, vuln on hit etc. -Buy dying sun and a Diamond potion to replace your sulfur and another potion (i replaced the quicksilver in my build) -20 quality you gems by vendoring them -Fill the remaining 3 notables for your Thread of Hope and the remaining notable in the cluster jewel. Probably take the 6 points from blood drinker to depth perception. ALso the ambidexterity node. More expensive -Paradoxica. Get the best one you could afford. I got the one that blinded for survivability but honestly not sure if that helps. -+1 Frenzy implicit to Serpent Gloves is like an exalted -Maybe lioneye's vision but i skipped from a 6 link chest straight to the +1 curse/critchance/power chest (thats 4x vs like 15ex) This should take you up to 4-5 mil dps configured like https://pastebin.com/p0P0Umsk |
