Why doesnt the game pause while you are in a menu?

Its immensely frustrating to die in one of the many menus in the game. Godforbid you have a tempest and a shaper map. Makes zero damn sense to die while viewing your options in a menu.

Ya ya i know gitgood right? Well i have seen this happens to a few streamers, so this is more common then you think. Makes zero sense,especially with betrayal that takes up the whole screen, to have random enemies or shaper nuts in your face....

It's possible actually "hint". A portal scroll !

A strictly online multiplayer game that doesn't pause!?!? Well, that's new.....

No real reason for an instance not to pause when you're in single player mode, though. And actually some good reasons for it actually pause (economic, stop needlessly bleeding CPU). Strange that it's still like this after all these years, although obviously I'm used to portaling.

Pausing the game was one of the highlights that the Single Players of D2 days highlighted when people asked why we didn't play on Battlenet… that and storage/trading options offered by programs like GoMule or ATMA.

Thousands of people simultaneously pausing/unpausing their indivudal instances would absolutely wreck the servers lol. Tens of thousands of people just having multiple instances open already causes headaches on its own.

Just enter/leave the boss arena and you get invul-time. Use that time.

Also try opening chat in /global 1 and enter "IDDQD" w/o quotes. It should help. Just don't forget to turn it off afterwards or it would be cheating.

I enjoy using IDSPISPOPD to get myself to hard tor each areas.

Topic also reminds me of my younger days playing Lineage ][ when Ma would kick the door in and tell me to "pause the game".
