How about an option. So you can wear them or not wear them. Because I like NO PANTS.

I honestly cannot understand why people think this is a problem. 2 out of 5 current characters wear pants. The other 3 wear full garments that have been worn by real cultures for thousands of years (much longer than pants).

Pants and a dress? Dumb. Pants and a chiton/toga? Dumb. Pants and a loincloth? Dumb.

Having variety is much better than all the character models wearing the same thing.

That being said, it's very possible that alternative costumes, including pants, might find their way onto the microtx store.

Given only 1 standard 'look' these are the looks they chose to represent the characters as GGG imagined them... the microtx shop will allow you to build them the way YOU imagined them.

This is a great option for the store.

When this game is released, it will be free to play from the get go. If GGG released a game that gave you everything you wanted directly, how would they keep the servers up and the game rolling.

The bandwidth these servers will use isn't cheap and neither is the content creation and maintenance of all of the above.

Pants, bunny ears and flags coming out into the world with you will be their only source of revenue to offset the costs of creation and maintenance. So sell away.

I also think that anyone playing who enjoys teh game should spend at least $20 in shop items to help the creators. Just think, a game like this you are going to pay $60 for in a shop, then possibly more on the back end for things to add to it. Give a little back, help them keep the game running great for it's entire life cycle.

I don't think the problem is necessarily the lack of pants, its the lack of variation in loin cloths/towels/robes for the legs. if the devs made some sort of artistic decision about the Maurader always wearing a loin cloth for instance, then maybe instead of getting pants later on he should upgrade to a fancier or more protective loin cloth.

similarly, the Templar could get a nicer skirt or whatever it is he's wearing, and the witch can get more interesting rags.

or they could just give them pants

We don't need pants for the witches either way, the other kind of witch I can think of off the top of my head were rather successful without them.
