EU Latency/Connectivity Issues [Deutsche Telekom/1&1]
" It's now just Germany it's worldwide. Read the forum's they are full of people trying to deal with it. Personally the only way I've seen that actually works is to play from about 130am. I start in Washington DC they switch to Texas if I have problems. That's during prime sleep time. I can play but only very late or very early. Prime time I just give it a miss. Give it a try. I might as well have company while I'm hunched over my coffee cup. |
I don't have these problems, not even in prime time. However it looks like my Danish ISP is having a better piring connection to GGG hosting partner....

im playing from Turkey, last 1 week im getting 150ms+ always
it was 60 average normally |
" Same for me. I just want to add, that I recently started having issues (very low speed, <1 MByte/sec) with Steam servers when downloading from Frankfurt. Which is the realm I automatically use (there was no need for me to change). So maybe there are problems with the datacentres in Frankfurt (possibly even DE-CIX). But I am also with you there, GGG needs to act and get in touch with host, etc. I'm pretty sure this behavior has already been detected by operators. |
" Same here. This problem exists for more than six months now (starting in Betrayal League), and GGG hasn't acted or communicated at all. They leave it to the users. I would even buy a supporter pack if I thought it would help, but until I read from a GGG person (and not another forum user in DK who is lucky to be able to play) that they know the problem and act on it, my money stays where it is. |

Latency over 1700ms even in my Hideout, unplayable...
*bumb*
a rare free sunday when i could play, but the latency issues makes it as suspected impossible. dont know why i even keep trying when i know that nothing will change. /sadface |
Had a free day to play. Just crashed in Washington DC, Texas and California and UK.
Ok gave it my best shot with a new rig. Of course the games unplayable. Will try back in another two weeks. |
" Maybe with all the German kids locked out of realm by shitty DT support, you can hop on Frankfurt and gambol about in the deserted realm with a stable ping of oh, idk, 120-150 ms Think how fast Oriath will load with NOBODY there! You could even run ur maps in the Templar lab. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

Has there been a general "fix"?
I've been getting these lags since early Legion League (not at the start, tho). During peak hours from 6pm to 11pm in Europe most instances I create (including hideout, alva temple, safehouse, literally anywhere) will have lag spikes from 40ms to 2000ms, making those unplayable (next map could be 100% fine). This is really annoying when playing fully juiced T16 maps and I literally cannot run those because of the risk of dying on lvl 95+ Also, if I want to trade with other players those other players are joining my hideout in a different instance than I am in. Resulting in me having to refresh my hideout instance and reinvite my trading partner. Calling them resulted in them telling me that their network is the "best" in Germany and even in peak hours there are no issues. Hoping for a fix soon - lvl 100 with those lags this league is impossible. :( |
