I'm really confused... Pretty new to the game, today I was trying to get the +1 chaos wand. I used a magic wand and a less poison support gem, selling it to Nessa, but it wasn't working. I tried with an orb of alteration too, also wasn't working. Asked for help in global chat, someone tried it and it wasn't working. Did they change it worked? You can get +1 to Level of all Chaos Skill Gems on wand and amulet and lvl 4 Empower. I also chose to go dual wielding wands for an extra chaos damage multiplier mod. I agree that it's very hard to scale this build for single target. Edit: You can also replace Purity of Ice with Skitterbots. They provide a 20% shock afaik.
