D&D Alignment test, what's your affinity?
True Neutral
Spoiler
True Neutral - A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.

" I chose 4 on that one, I don't have lots of friends, but the ones I have I cherish a lot, to the point that I would take a bullet for them if needed. You might think that choosing the #2 is the one with most benefits and without setbacks, and perhaps you are right, but you might want to keep something in mind that it's a question about what would you do without displaying the outcome of such actions. "Take the money and testify, but try to keep your testimony ineffective?" Even if your intentions is to not screw up a friend, the possibility of that happening is not zero, and even if it's low, is still not zero. I didn't choose that one because it would mean that I'm someone willing to put a friend at risk in exchange for dirty money. I can put myself at risk for dirty money, but a friend? I can't make a bet with their safety, even worse without their consent. But well, that's just me, and I'm just like that because I have really good friends. " "Try to keep the testimony ineffective" is the key here. I'd try really, really hard, including lie to keep it ineffective. I would lie and even take the punishment for lying under oath if needed be. So I acknowledge a risk/reward scenario. With an extreme likelihood of me getting paid to help a friend out by someone who's a piece of shit. I view that as "Sticking it to the authorities". So this is very much about me getting a "one up" on them more than it is about the money. The reward is also an ego boost. Me falling on my sword by refusing to testify wouldn't help my friend or me. So this is about which action is more likely to have a favorable turn of events. Something else, and this weighs in favor of a botched testimony being extremely likely to result in the acquittal of your friend is that their evidence must be complete shit if they have to pay somebody to testify. Which means, they probably don't know enough to even make a guess as to whether I'm lying or not. I don't have that many friends in RL, but the few I do have are like family to me. Better than family, actually. They're super-bro status. If my friend needed help disposing of a body, I'd help. IMO, one "friend" is worth more than 100 acquaintances that you socialize with on occasion. When most people speak of "friends" in 2017, they're referring to FB friends, or coworkers they're on a good social basis with. So the term "friend" has very much been cheapened. This is the biggest difference between Neutral, and Evil, whereas Evil would be more self serving. But I'm kinda with Chaotic Evil as far as having a potential to be belligerent toward established society, or authorities. How many people can say they've been tazed by the police? *Raises hand*. The only "Good" traits I possess are those related to loyalty. I'm loyal to those who I consider "Friend". But my capacity for "Good" pretty much ends there. My loyalty never extends to communities, or even nations for that matter. Zuletzt bearbeitet von MrSmiley21#1051 um 14.02.2017, 09:16:08

" You think the system is corrupt, but you probably seek change through this corrupt system anyway. Maybe because you don't see a better alternative? Correct me if I'm wrong here. But if this is correct, that's still within the realm of being Lawful. I on the other hand, seek change, even if it means a period of instability to correct it. To me, the ends justify the means. I'm not confident enough in governments or systems to believe wide sweeping changes, especially targeted at rooting up systemic corruption is possible from within these same systems. The US system, in particular is left to open ended interpretations by political hacks in the judicial system. This is because the founders didn't properly translate clear intent/meaning into words. So that there is no misunderstanding. It's a rigged system with laws/rights subjected to open ended interpretation by those with ulterior motives. Rights are only good until some lawyer plays word games with intent/meaning before some judge who's motivated politically. Rights are usually taken away with swords/axes/guns, yet in the USA they're taken away with the pen. Zuletzt bearbeitet von MrSmiley21#1051 um 14.02.2017, 13:46:09

You Are:
Neutral Evil Neutral Evil- A neutral evil villain does whatever he can get away with. He is out for himself, pure and simple. He sheds no tears for those he kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. He has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make him any better or more noble. On the other hand, he doesn't have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. Neutral evil is the best alignment you can be because you can advance yourself without regard for others. However, neutral evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents pure evil without honor and without variation.
