D&D Alignment test, what's your affinity?

The D&D alignment system is beyond worthless.

Yeah, it's the first thing I ditch whenever I GM.

I prefer if players decide what motivates their characters and make decisions from there. There's a lot more drama when you can't just detect a monster's alignment and have the gods tell you that it's objectively right to murder it.

I do really like the Magic colour pie though. It makes things a lot more subjective - what's good to Red tends to be evil to Blue and so on. Similarly, faction systems like the Icons in 13th Age make for much more flavourful alignment systems.

I bet I could argue anyone is Neutral Good. Me, you, Darth Vader, anyone. Thomas Aquinas pretty aptly demonstrates that we do not intentionally pursue evil, that the road to hell is paved in good intentions; from there, I'd just need to convince the audience that my subject falls short of pure dogmatic adherence to either law or chaos, which wouldn't be difficult as both are untenable in their purist forms.
Good/Evil is sorta defined in a somewhat reasonable way. At the end of the day good and evil might be subjective to each individual person though.

I don't know what sort of interaction you've had with people over the years Scrotie, but based on mine, I can confirm there is more evil in people than you think. I'm not necessarily a believer that everyone is inherently "good".
First, I acknowledge that by "good" and "evil" the D&D alignment system actually means "selfless" and "selfish" respectively, thus "good=selfless." Acknowledgment does not equal agreement. This is a gross oversimplification, as good actually means "the ethically correct," the optimal among choices of action. Essentially, the D&D folks are getting preachy with the selflessness.

Second, although people very infrequently choose the optimally correct action, it's very clear that they intend to. They make all kinds of justifications to themselves, these intricate rationalizations, to choose one path over another. They often convince themselves that they're special, somehow different, and thus the good for everyone else is different than the good for me because of all variety of special circumstances. Essentially, they're lying to themselves. But note: they must lie to act in such a manner. They cannot act without the why, without the justification, without reason. Our minds compel us to explain the goodness of our intent to ourselves before that intent is allowed to be made real.

In this way, all actions have the veneer of goodness in the moment of execution. The wrongness of an act can almost be seen as the rate at which the appearance of good fades... the veneer's half-life, so to speak.

Technically, no, I'm not. I'm more than capable of basking in it, however.

I've replaced Alignment with Demeanor for my games. Basically, you choose 2-3 words that describe how the character generally acts (Ie: Gruff, Bubbly, Violent, Reasonable) which seems to have worked well in encouraging roleplaying and making it easier to get into character after a long break.

True neutral, just 1 point away from Neutral Good.

Funny enough, in D&D I always played chaotic ( good or neutral )...

Though i have to agree with some here, that alignment system is - if not obsolete - definetaly not what it was supposed to be or what it was supposed to offer in the particular role playing system. Besides often being a restraint for people with indifferent approach to decision making, or even punishing people for good roleplaying on their part, its way too simplistic as it is. Thats why i too disregard it (although not completely) when i am the DM, i prefer people not even choosing one, and i align them in the process depending their choices without them knowing their exact alignment, this allows me to create interesting designs/quests or riddles which often create fun situations (example some party member cant enter a temple or cant receive a blessing even if they want too etc).

Many of the questions are worthless.

Would you poison the king for money? Depends on the king.

Do you respect the government - same thing.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Leaning toward Lawful Neutral. Feels too bland since I answered truthfully for the most part.

Some questions were really iffy, though, like the one with the king that Bars mentioned, when it comes to fantasy kings I'd actively try to keep some alive and off some of them for free.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
