Ziggy D announcing end of State of Exile!
The result of several years playing the same way and (apparently) a toxic community. A shame, really. Liked those pod casts. Let's see what Lifting, Hegemony and PT can do with "Lioneye's Watch".
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Goodbye Ziggy, have fun in your other projects
... so much fun that you dont come back ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

State of Exile was mostly a good listen. I think Ziggy was way too soft on all of the GGG devs who were gracious enough to come onto the podcast (but maybe if he asked the tough important questions and gave that GGG dev the 3rd degree he'd never come back on). But we did get to
Hopefully someone else like LiftingNerdBro will want to continue with this type of PoE discussion and keep the podcasts coming. They were and are a useful way to see what others (especially some of the top streamers) think about all the changes GGG makes in PoE. We all have our own personal view of the "ideal" arpg and since it is different for everyone it is nice to hear what others are liking/disliking for changes or new content added to PoE. I could tell in the last few podcasts that Zeno was definitely unhappy with the changes that GGG has made to PoE this year and his playing frustrations were very apparent in the last few podcasts, especially episode #57. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. " Maybe the things just changing and we are see other nice formats and streamers in the future. But yeah, the toxic of the community is well discussed these days, a daily sad example was under your answer. " "better to simply go balls deep full retard if you gonna go retard." -Boem-

" Sad but true, I'm estimating it would take way too much work to get anything presentable out of it but wouldn't draw in enough new players nor keep enough of those ready to leave to justify the expense. That's probably what they're thinking too and I can't really blame them, it's unlikely anyone needed to convince them of anything. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Zuletzt bearbeitet von raics#7540 um 18.08.2016, 09:50:13

" Yeah. Two-liners in a thread isn't that bad, but when the same, negative people spams 'general' with whine threads every, single, bloody day, it becomes a problem. A much greater problem than disagreeing with the changes GGG makes (or doesn't make). Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Sad to see State of Exile go...was nice to watch on my lunch breaks and enjoyed hearing the points of views of the streamers, although all of them are elitists IMO. Except Pohx...he was real about everything.

Want' that big a fan of Zeno to be honest. No particular reason, just something about the guy bothered me lol.
On another note, if you guys are looking for group/discussion podcasts, Watch of Wraeclast or Wraeclast Watch (can't remember which) isn't bad. The only catch is you have to put up with ProjectPT. On the bright side, Hedge is on there and they talk about pretty relevant stuff. For some reason I can't seem to find a link for it now. Grrr... I'll look and edit this when i find it. EDIT: I'm an idiot...saw the huge posting in announcements lol...it's Lioneye's Watch. Seems like it will be the beginning of a series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zTxXPQI-o4 Zuletzt bearbeitet von Prizy#1622 um 18.08.2016, 13:21:03

" Agree, i could stand him always for really long in stream but have respect for his work. Honestly, I think ppl took him (and, actually, many other PoE issues) way to serious imo. " Well, from Zeno to ProjectPT is a bit ... to jump out of the frying pan into the fire ^^ I like his theorycrafting really much, but can't also stand his stream for too long ^^ "better to simply go balls deep full retard if you gonna go retard." -Boem-

I only watched when they had a dev as a guest, but I liked it for the most part. I didn't really like Zeno though. He often would say stuff like "we all agree" or "the community thinks" when talking to the devs. Especially when he wanted something nerfed. I didn't like him taking on the role of spokesman for the community when he wasn't speaking for the community. Mostly was speaking for himself and small group of players. But I recognize that the podcast helped build the community and was a good thing.
Hopefully some of the other podcasts and whatever content Ziggy puts out is able to have devs on to discuss things. It's great to see some of the thought processes and reasons for some of the decisions. And it helps remind everybody that the devs are real people too. Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>
